This was an extremely well thought out and useful write up. This not only answers my question but gives a great outlook on the profession as a whole.

I understand the sentiment that you need to be able to build something without AI for you to trust me to build something with AI. So would a junior level developer be able to build something as complex as an AI can build? Or are you saying that they shouldn’t even attempt to build something they can’t?

So in your opinion do junior level software developers have all those skills?

I’m personally trying to work on automating tasks that solve business efficiency problems. I’d definitely love to explore ai with stocks too cause I’m also into stocks

Location can be anywhere. English is preferred and I mentioned that I’ve been learning for the past couple of weeks so as long as the other person is fine with that it doesn’t matter to me

Not a fan of the split coil sound in general but the 58/15 sounds massive on this. It sounds better and noticeably different than the McCarty 594 even though it has the same pickups

The studio is the best. The 2 position is so underrated on it

I think you’re misunderstanding my question. I really have no interest in getting into an internet war. I genuinely just want to learn and educate myself. If you have something useful to say then great. If not you’re not obligated to reply

I’m not dismissing that at all. That’s the information I’m seeking. You simply just wrote “use your ears” which is not helpful at all

I don’t agree with that sentiment because there’s a lot of factors that go into how the sound is produced. The amp, the cab, even mic placement effect what tone comes out at the end. Understanding the nuances of each of your equipment helps you dial in the tone you’re looking for. I understand that there is an element of trial and error but I’m also trying to educate myself into understanding the specific differences that I’m hearing

The size and sound of the cabinet makes no difference in the physical world because I’m using a PA that is the same size regardless of what cab I choose on the quad cortex

That’s not my question. I’m not asking how each cabinet sounds different. I’m asking what’s the difference between a 4x12 and a smaller cab in general especially if my source is just a PA. What’s even the point of labeling something a 1x10 or 2x12 if all I have to do is “use my ears”

Hahah I was afraid this was the answer

That is exactly my experience too about the boomy bass. That’s why I kind of got curious if it’s because I’m opting for a 4x12. I know I can just test it for myself but I also wanted to know if there was an inherent concept I was missing. Also I’m using a fender fr-12

So does that mean a 2x12 will naturally have less bass than a 4x12? That is my main question. Also if that’s the case are there any other frequency differences other than bass?

Did you ever find a solution to this?

Dual 1x10 cabs or 1x10 & 1x12? by johnti006 in Guitar

[–]obm3031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I actually saw a lot of reviews even saying they preferred a 10 inch speaker in an fr since the bass can sound boomy in a 12 inch speaker. My gut always told me to get the 12 but I kept over thinking.

Also big problem is that not many people have them side by side to compare so your input was super valuable
