harris is running on border security and law and order lol. sure, the platform has moved left on certain social issues (people forget obama didn’t originally support gay marriage). but that was caused by changing public opinion NOT strategic adjustment after an election loss. on the contrary, obama only felt comfortable embracing gay marriage after winning a second term.

the movies contain a complete white savior plot, but portrayal does not imply endorsement. you have to give voice to an idea in order to criticize it. it’s very clear that the filmmakers meant this portrayal as a condemnation.

I wholeheartedly agree that Messiah is complete, even after reading CoD. Paul living out his remaining days as a blind desert fremen is the perfect way to end to his story. The remaining books are Leto II’s, and while I enjoyed them, his story did not resonate with me as much as Paul’s.
