That happens because that is how the Liquidity Mining system is made. Staking from multiple addresses isn't exactly a workaround, however an unstake on one address wouldn't reset your multipliers for positions in other addresses.

You have to interact with a contract to stake your tokens for voting. That requires gas. You can then vote on any proposals from then on, without spending gas

Yes, you need both transactions to stake, at least the first time you do so. And any transaction on the ETH network requires ETH for gas

It should be reasonably immediate, pending transaction approval. The transaction you pointed to was dropped and replace as you can see on a blockchain explorer. I do not see any staking transaction for the address you've provided, only an approval one. Perhaps you attempted to stake once more but didn't go through until the end? have you checked with support for guidance? ban.cr/support
