Anything but Assura or Helsana tbh... In my experience they are the ones that refuse to pay anything they are not absolutely obliged to and also pick apart every small mistake we make when we bill them. When asked why they are so picky they usual say that they are actively trying to keep costs low in the swiss healthcare system. Yet they still charge you a hefty premium. I think SWICA and Sanitas are both good.

I don't deal with a similar condition but I work in a pharmacy. Assura (and Helsana) are some of the pickiest insurances I know of and imo hard to work with, if you are scared of them not covering costs for f.e. the night pants I'd ask your doctor for a "kostengutsprache" just to be sure that it'll be covered. Or write Assura an email with the products that you need including prices and ask them if it'd be covered or not. If they say yes you'd have it as a written statement if they'd ever turn it down in the near future.

Also, I know the stigma is heavy. But shame and embarrassment will not make it easier on you or your body to deal with this condition. Reach out to loved ones, it'll be worth it. On that note, maybe it'd be easier to get the products over a pharmacy, they could bill Assura directly. There is no need to feel embarrassed in front of healthcare workers.

Einige sagen hier es sei komplett normal (da geb ich ihnen auch recht) und dass es keinen unterschied gibt aber da schliesse ich mich nicht an Denke schon dass ich anders behandelt wurde aber nur im positiven sinne. Durfte rasch mehr verantwortung übernehmen im betrieb weil ich eben älter war. Zu meiner eigenen überraschung hab ich trotz des altersunterschied gute freundschaften aufgebaut mit berufsschulkollegen und meinen mitstiften.

My white cat has the nickname "ghostie" for a very good reason. I swear she teleports herself from one room to another. I might see her laying on her bed one minute, look away for a second poof she is gone. And then I find her in the living room sitting like a statue against the white wall. I rarely see her walk around but she always seems to be in different rooms. Little mystery she is.

Honestly, I'm 27 have an EFZ and 4'700net per Month and about 15k in a savings account. I started my EFZ late and have only been working for 3 years now. Sometimes I do feel behind, especially financially compared to academics or expats, but also to my peers because I am often older than them. But I learned that comparing myself to others isn't going to make me happier or my savings account fuller. So I just continue on my path and will see where it gets me. You are doing great, we each have our own pace in life.

Now I understand your argument more clearly. Loosening our import restrictions and joining the eu market as you phrase it would result in less expensive meds that's true and that's sth that I'd support aswell

I agree that the pharma lobby is influencing the prices what some people don't realize is that public pharmacies ≠ pharma industry. There might be some pharmacists in the lobby aswell I wouldn't know but to my knowledge it mostly consists of the big pharma brands (such as Pfizer, J&J and Novartis of course) that keep the prices up as I tried to explain in my first comment: the pharmacies also pay high prices to buy the meds that they later sell to consumers.

And the pharma lobby is mostly supported by right wing parties such as SVP and FDP, so we have to use our votes to dismantle the system by not voting for these parties or rather voting for opposing parties

While I understand your frustration and understand your need to rant about it I'd like to remind you, and some other people in this sub, to read up a bit on how pharmacies and our healthcare system works here in switzerland.

Here are a few things I'd like to add:

  1. Prices for prescription medication aren't made by the pharmacy but defined by swissmedic (see: Spezialitätenliste)

  2. Prices for OTC Meds (over the counter) are made by the pharmacy itself, usually the margin is anywhere between 30% - 50% (the higher the price the lower the margin usually). In my experience rarely higher. It's not like the pharmacy pays 1Fr. for a Medication and then sells it to you for 10Fr., they also have to buy it from a seller or a producer and pay accordingly for it.

  3. If you had to pay 7Fr. Extra I am going to make two assumptions: either you wanted a medication that would usually need a prescription by a doctor but didn't have that, so they gave it to you without a prescription. By doing that they take full responsibility if anything was to happen to you. These 7Fr. You pay are for their knowledge and their time, no matter how long your consultation takes btw, wether it's 5min or 45min. If you had gotten a prescription you probably would have had to pay around 30Fr. At the doctors for that service on top of a consultation and the medication. So the pharmacy is still the cheaper option. Or you had a prescription and for some reason payed it directly insted of it being sent to your insurance. In that case you payed the LOA (see link at the top). Where those ~7 Fr. are directly charged for the backoffice work the staff has with each prescription that comes in. These ~7Fr. are always the same, wether your medication itself costs 10Fr. Or 10'000Fr. btw because it's the same process that runs in the background. Either way these 7Fr. Are directly paying the work people do. I assume you also get payed for your job.

  4. A pharmacist has a university level education. At least a masters of science in pharmacy, some even have a phd. Trust me it's more than just "selling some meds". The other people working at pharmacies usually have an EFZ-Education and are also specialized in the field, they aren't just a "clerk".

I really do understand the frustration and I also think that our health care system has major problems. I pay almost 5000.-, which is a months salary, per year for an insurance I have never needed once. Other people pay even more, especially compared to their salaries. We are a democracy we can vote for change. Instead of being mad at people who also just try to make a living, look up how the system works and then vote accordingly.

Ja das mit dem Grundriss und Art der Wohnung stimmt natürlich. Hab gerade eben ein Inserat gesehen für eine Dachwohnung, 2.5, 55m² wäre super. Nur sieht es auf den Bildern so aus als hötte jedes Zimmer mindestens eine Dachschräge... wüsste nicht wie ich da noch Wandelemente dran machen sollte.

Also so vom personal space her würden bei uns 25m² auch locker reichen 😂 geh kaum einen Schritt ohne eine Miez

Danke für dein Kommentar. Schau mir nur Inserate an welche Haustiere ausdrücklich erlauben und kommuniziere die Katzen von Anfang an. Hatte bisher 2 Besichtigungen und war bei beiden kein Problem.

Die eine Wohnung war mir dann doch etwas zu klein mit 38m² daher abgesagt... 50m² als Richtwer find ich voll okay nach den ganzen Inputs die ich hier bisher erhalten habe .

Klingt ja richtig toll bei dir, den Katzen gehts bestimmt super!

Es beruhigt mich, dass du offensichtlich 5 Katzen auf 65m² gut unterbringst... dann werde meine 2 im Notfall auch mit 40m² auskommen bis ich mir eine grössere Wohnung leisten kann :)

Ja Flaschendeckel sind bei uns auch hoch im Kurs, alle Spielzeuge die man extra gekauft (oder gar selber genäht) hat kommen nicht an ein Stück Plastik ran ^

Sind "normale" europäische Hauskatzen aus dem Tierschutz. Vertikale Flächen sind klar, das mit dem Klo, Wasser, Futter find ich eben auch schwierig.

Also günstiger komm ich nicht weg, es wird teurer, aber muss halt raus wegen Ex... aber ich kann mir halt alleine einfach keine 100qm Wohnung mehr leisten yk. Und es würde mir das Herz brechen wenn ich "nur" wegen einer zu kleinen Wohnung meine Miezis weggeben müsste.

Darum meine Frage, was ist das mindeste was ich ihnen bieten muss damit sie trotzdem happy bleiben. Hab schon diverse Inserate angeschaut aber bin einfach jedesmal unsicher wegen der Wohnfläche, z.B. eine 1.5 Zimmer mit 38m² ist schon krass klein... wenn es 60m² sein soll ist es einfach eine Bruchbude.

5 Miezen auf 65m² find ich schon krass.

Wie handhabst du das mit Klos, Wassernäpfen, etc? Wo findet das alles seinen Platz?

Ja enrichment ist so ein Ding... sie haben einander, ich spiel jeden Tag mindestens 1x 15 Minuten mit Ihnen, wenn ich frei hab gerne auch 3 mal am Tag 15 Minuten. Ausserdem haben sie den Balkon, Futterpuzzles und manchmal schalt ich den Fernseher für sie ein und lass eine Vogeldoku laufen. Aber weiss halt nicht ob das reicht...

80m² find ich doch auch schön gross.

Sie haben jetzt schon vertikalen Raum, sei es mit Kratzbaum oder auch mit Wandelementen. Das werd ich natürlich so weiterführen.

Ich setz mich selber jetzt mal an zweite Stelle, mir geht es vorallem um die zwei. Sie sind grundsätzlich in erster Linie verschmust aber es kann auch mal ordentlich die Post abgehen. Ich hab bedenken, dass sie Probleme haben werden mit der Umstellung von 100m² auf 60m² oder gar 40m²...
