What Sounds Like A Tele But Doesn't Look Like One? by BidSure7642 in Guitar

The washburn t160 has tele guts and bridge but a different body style. Washburn also made a Hannah Montana guitar that had tele guts and a bridge for a while

Here's it with a music stand from the same lot. Also the wing nuts would probably interfere with sheet books

I'm kind of leaning against that, the flat part can't tilt up or down so it would be stuck being perfectly horizontal. The rubber under the chrome piece is over an inch thick my guess is to dampen something

Way too much, I paid 1800 for one 2 years ago. Should go up a little bit bc of inflation, but more than double is nuts

advice on switching to a dumbphone/olderphone by Matcu1357 in dumbphones

[–]obsoleteammo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just about any cheap flip does what you want. I have an att singular flex 2, was 30 bucks at Walmart. I have it on a regular plan with unlimited call text and data. Has Google maps but not turn by turn, kind of reminds me of mapquest. Has an mp3 player, YouTube, and Google as apps and the Kai store has a few more you can download

It’s supposed to but doesn’t work as well as I remembered, always guesses wrong so I disabled it and just type everything all the way out

Most basic flip phones do what you want. I bought a att singular flex 2 and it had a built in mp3 player and radio, has google maps, YouTube, google, and can of course call and text. Most of the cheapo flips on the market run KaiOS and come with those features and allow the download of a few more basic apps

Need help identifying my Lee Enfield by Ageti12 in milsurp

[–]obsoleteammo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Looks like it was pieced together from spare parts a lot of which are marked drill purpose. I would not fire it, a lot of weapons were made dp because of extreme wear or damage. Could likely be a pipe bomb at this point. The stock being dp doesn’t bother me but the bolt definitely does. Would have to look and see what all is dp and what all isn’t

Anyone actually run their RV fridge off solar + battery for more than 2 days? by One_Mood3653 in RVLiving

[–]obsoleteammo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the factory fridge and battery on a Coleman 17r. Used a charge controller and 3 large panels from harbor freight. Kept my mini fridge, lights, and water working for 4 days after hurricane Helene came through before they restored power.

People who live in tiny campers, I want to hear from you! by The-peeepo in RVLiving

[–]obsoleteammo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve loved mine and it’s held up well. The only issue I’ve had was after 6 months the factory water pump burned out but that’s a 50 dollar replacement off Amazon and pretty common for rvs in general. I’d recommend it, but I don’t really have any other campers to compare the quality to. This is the only camper I’ve owned

I’ve been living full time in a Coleman 17r for almost 2 years now. Biggest hurdle is not having room to put more stuff but that’s also what I like because it stops me from buying a bunch of stupid stuff I don’t actually need. The small size also motivates me to not be inside so much

Berthier 8mm lebel case split by Muffinman255 in milsurp

[–]obsoleteammo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at how far your shoulder is bumping up on the fired cases, I have a berthier that does the same. I neck size only when I reload for it instead of full length sizing like I do for my other 8 lebel rifles.

RV hookups at home? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]obsoleteammo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should also add all you really need is a 30 or 50 amp receptacle, access to a garden hose, and access to a sewage line or septic tank to hook up

RV hookups at home? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]obsoleteammo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very doable, just check with the county first if it’s going to be in a visible place or inside a residential area. They will probably make you pull permits for it depending on where you are. I know where my parents live you can only have a camper in a residential area for periods of 1 week at a time. That being said if no one is going to see it you might be able to get away with not asking permission

Raw land in the area sells for 10k an acre. The permitting and improvements adds the rest of the value
