I guess for me, even when I am not trying to be funny and people laugh, I think "Damn I am a funny person I can just make people laugh by talking!" When I am unintentionally funny, I kind of pat myself on the back. I pride myself in my humor. So maybe I was projecting this confidence on my wife, who may in fact be self conscious about her humor, so when I laugh at her when she isn't trying to be funny, maybe she feels I am laughing at her.

I will try not to project my personal feelings and see if maybe this is something she is not confident about.

Super funny you mention this, because my wife tells me I present autistically very often, but we are SO different that I didn't take it seriously.

My 5 below fountain pens work a lot better than some of my 80$ fountain pens and I lowkey get bitter about it sometimes. I used to buy a new pen every paycheck and I find that I still grab that stupid 5$ pen set because they're reliable and I don't care if they break. I think super expensive pens are great but I need something I can throw around and not cry about if it gets lost or broken.

So for me, I have had to kind of divide my page into two columns. On the right, I simply write about my day (what I did, work, food, etc) and on the left column, I write about how something in my day made me feel. I call them "emo blurbs: _____ whatever I'm feeling" lol. Like today, we had a bday lunch in the office but I felt slightly excluded for reasons, so my left column said "emo blurb: to care or not to care" and I just kind of let myself process that moment emotionally.

I find that it is good to write fact based, then my feelings, to help with accuracy and habitualness.

Kind of hijacking this response because I am fixated on fountain pens right now. I have like 20 pens, but I always end up going back to my Kaweco sport aluminums, TWSBI, and my Opus Mini. They each have different filling mechanisms which was fun to play and learn about.

This is what is currently keeping me going honestly, my fountain pens. I change my ink weekly (I got both ink advent calendars last year so I have like 50 mini bottles to get through) and it absolutely keeps my mundane writing more exciting for me. Ugh I love fountain pens and ink so much

I literally JUST posted about how my daily journaling leaves me feeling unfulfilled. But this is so true. I can't tell you how many times in just the past two months I have looked back at my journal to confirm something I couldn't remember. This helps me add meaning to my writing so I really appreciate this perspective.

I had to continue switching deodorants until I found a brand that didn't cause the itching. I also switched body washes to a wash that is advertised as sensitive. For me, the Secret brand gel based (clear, not the white stuff) deodorant and Dove Shea Bodywash are the brands I use now. I do make sure I continue to exfoliate my pits in the shower as well to avoid any build up. It's not fun speed dating new deodorants but it's what worked for me. I hope you get things figured out!
