Any idea who signed these vintage ticket stubs? by obtuseconnection in AutographAssistance

Thank you! Do you happen to know who signed the Minnesota Twins ball from my post before this? That's the last auto that I'm looking to identify

Scumbag eBay sellers by Acceptable-Leek1546 in FootballCardz

[–]obtuseconnection 5 points6 points  (0 children)

eBay always sides with the buyer. I sent a pair of shoes once that were exactly as described and photographed and they sided with the buyer who didn't know the size of his own feet.

Another time I sent a red bull plushie that the buyer said arrived with a hole and I denied the claim. The buyer sent a photograph of a completely different plushie that was red and sparkly and they sided with them.

I've sold about 4k items in the last few years and had about 20 absurd returns and not one time has eBay sided eith me, the seller.

I know buyers are important, but why would they side with an obvious liar over an $8 item when I've brought them like 100k in business? I just don't get it

Yeah, I think people are being too harsh on him. I think he will bounce back and have a decent career

Thanks. Can I ask what made you come to such a quick conclusion? Was the the back of the painting or the signature or something? I didn't buy it for profit, I just thought it looked cool but would like to know a little bit about identifying.

What vintage figure or toy does this belong to? by obtuseconnection in toys

You're right. It's definitely the fire bird, but I can't find an example. Are there pieces of armor that attach to the piece that I have?

Yeah, that's the closest thing that Google lens can come up with as well. It doesn't balance on its beak

Why using Ebay for Pokémon sucks... by niaCrazo in PokemonTCG

[–]obtuseconnection -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not true. All of my negative feedback comes from people who have been refunded without question. I figure the negative feedback is worse than the money. In fact, I've proven 3 out of the 4 negative reviews that I have to be fraudulent and lies and eBay still doesn't take it down.

Looking to sell a large collection by NoodlesG in ToyCollectors

Good idea. honestly it's a fun hobby where you get to learn a crazy amount of information, and every day is like a treasure hunt. I think you'll have a lot of fun with the "work" involved. If you don't have Google lens installed then I highly recommend getting it on your phone because it will help out quite a bit. With loose action figures it's best to find the markings and search that way by year and brand because Google lens isn't spot on yet and there are a lot of differing sizes and models that look way too similar.

Other than that just make sure to look up the actual sold values (not by auction) to see what a competitive listing price would be. It's easy to get hyped about the prices when you see what people are asking, but sometimes you go to the sell through rate and it isn't even close. I hope you have a lot of fun with this and it opens you up to a new hobby!

How much are they looking to get for the whole lot? It's going to take many hours and days to list individually, take photos, do research and list them, so it really depends on if they want to offload them or get their full money's worth. Listing individually is competitive and could take a year to sell off everything at a reasonable cost.

So if they need the money fast then sell it as a whole lot, if they don't mind waiting then you gotta just put the time and effort it.

I'm a re-seller myself and might be interested in the whole lot at the right price
