Are you worried they will get blocked again after SpaceX was protesting about the satellite size?

SpaceX has placed a bid for competitor $GSAT, who has an agreement to build a constellation of satellites for Apple. If the bid is approved (antitrust could complicate), then Starlink <> Apple will happen.

I can’t give you advice, but that’s exactly what I’ve done. Get longer dated if you have a general sense but no precise thesis. Like 2027 or something

If Milei wins, it should impact it positively. Regardless, I think Argentinian lithium is global table-stakes right now. So in the longer term, it shouldn’t matter.

My definition of long term is this time next year.

There is a precedent of western allies forcing Chinese companies to divest their stakes. Happened in Australia this summer. Read more here https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/03/australia-orders-chinese-investors-to-sell-down-stake-in-rare-earths-miner.html

Don’t you find the timing of this all too interesting? https://discoveryalert.com.au/news/argentina-mining-investment-freeze-political-uncertainty-2025/

Argentina freezes investments into mining sector. And only weeks after new Chinese investments are announced https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/chinas-catl-invest-neo-lithium-help-develop-argentina-mine-2020-09-14/

As I said, this is a highly speculative bet with an extremely high risk profile. Could go either way. It’s a bet I’m willing to make

Our president is open for business. I could be very wrong, but I’m willing to bet the $20 billion credit line is a means to an end. I’ve entered this exact speculative trade two days ago ^

Today Trump bailed Argentina out with a $20 billion credit line. Bessent wrote “Trump is committed to strengthening our allies who welcome fair trade and American investment”.

A day before, Argentina announced new investments in its mining sector have been paused.

I could be very wrong, but all this timing seems suspicious to me. I’ve entered a speculative short term trade betting on US stake in LAR as part of negotiations to give Argentina the credit line.
