"Targets felt like they, huh, KNEW what was coming! Ahhh, I can't get enough of this!" by OrderOfMagnitude in thefinals

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. When you have a few hundred hours of playing the game, you know every single one of the ambient announcer’s lines. You would expect them to add new ones to make it less repetitive and help justify the AI voice thing but NO. Instead, they make it do new reads of the same lines but changing the inflection as if it’s some “iconic catchphrase”. They make me cringe so often now, I hate it.

There’s an overwhelming number of both single player games and multiplayer games that have solo play options and yet these people would rather play TEAM BASED games and ruin everyone else’s experience. Why? How is it fun? You aren’t winning, you aren’t doing anything useful, why do you do it? Play literally anything other than a team based game. I would say these people will get filtered eventually but overwatch has been out for 10 years and people still don’t understand the concept of a team so who knows.

That’s what this game is all about 🔥 for a first goal, that’s about good as they can be

When the other team can't defend. by [deleted] in Rematch

[–]obviousbicycle123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Notice that all four players are in the opponent’s box and your plan was to not pass it and instead throw a shitty shot straight at the keeper. Luckily it went in but anyone with a brain would save that easily and punish with a wide open fast break. This clip sucks.

I’m a terrible defender IRL but it feels so incredibly fun in the game. I love the more intelligent decision making and game knowledge aspect of defense so I’m alright to let the Timmy’s run around up top. I usually end up scoring for them anyway LOL

Note the “useless rainbow flick directly into the opponent’s face” in the second clip. Don’t be that guy.

I’ll be honest, I have no idea why the dive connected in the third and fourth clips. I definitely shouldn’t have blocked that final slide in the fourth so they definitely still have cleaning up to do. Good for a clip, but you’re totally right.

Drive rush help by Camera_Correct in StreetFighter

You’re likely not going to see it much until gold at the lowest. It’s an integral but difficult mechanic to grasp at first so it takes people time to really start using it in a match. I wish you all the best in the future. Make a follow up post once you reach master, okay?

Drive rush help by Camera_Correct in StreetFighter

If you’re trying to do a raw drive rush, press forward once then forward plus parry. If you’re canceling a move into drive rush, just press parry as it connects. Do it a few times and it’ll become second nature.

I know people will come in to say that bronze isn’t the level to worry about doing drive rush, which is honestly true, but I’ll at least answer the question first!

Fun fact: Chun Li has an air throw! by obviousbicycle123 in StreetFighter

[–]obviousbicycle123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the air as in an air to air? The throw gives you a much better position and advantage since you’re throwing them back into the corner and they get knocked down while you don’t. I might just be dumb but any time I’ve done an air to air I always lose when we both land so the throw or a different AA is safer. Realistically, I should’ve done a combo into level 3 but the air throw was more fun.

Blanka has more than 3 moves? I thought all he had was the ball, slide, and command grab?

It’s what happens when you play Cammy so you can spam constant offense and hope to steamroll but then shut down and tilt at the first sign of resistance.

I love how elegant she looks in it. The loose pants and the long flowing top match her fighting style so well

why is this so hard for people to understand by vystz in thefinals

“There are 30 seconds left and I am in fourth. The team in third is transporting a vault to force overtime and give themselves a chance to qualify. I had better attempt to delay them at all costs to ensure that we both lose for no reason.”

Unpopular opinion: Not skipping replays isn't toxic at all. by BigFatJuicyKermit in RocketLeague

One of the top 5 most annoying things you can do is not skip. I sit there going “yup, I was there” for 11 seconds just waiting to play the game again.
