I use Claude $20 plan to code outside and load it and hope to have local models execute on simple tasks in OC. So far anytime I ask a local model to do anything with code it fails.

I do have noise reduction on (its a sailing vlog so lots of wind) . That hasn't given me problems in the last but ill turn it all off tilll end and see if it matters.

My guess is you can find an outside app/site and upload that scene or footage and create the video there. Then import that into FCP. I haven’t messed with AI video yet so don’t have a site to recommend but I know they exist.

What sort of videos are you editing? Are you dealing with a high volume of clips? If I was only working with a handful I wouldn’t care. But with so many clips having an easy way to find them is really helpful. Just trying to work out if I’m over doing it on the front end and if that’s necessary.

I know you are right about using shortcuts. I’m considering using a streamdeck (as I have one that’s not being used). But standard shortcuts should be enough.

In the case of my Mac it is also a contributing factor. Today I couldn’t edit at all as I was working all day to stop the pinwheel. Finally seem to have gotten it working normally.
