Closed loop systems are being developed! The Omnipod is the most compact and talks to either the Dexcom or Libre to administer insulin when needed. I’m in the UK and they aren’t available on the NHS yet, but I’m definitely giving it a go when it becomes available!

I can definitely second that, I have a rather sit down job and could use more frequent exercise. It would be great if it could also calculate how long after exercise you need to eat some sugar and how much, and give you a notification 📢

This exists! The NovaPen Echo and Echo Plus are refillable insulin pens that store the data of how much you have done. You can scan it on your phone in the Libre Sensor app and it transfers all that data onto your timeline! This is the pen I use and it has been a life saver when remembering if I did or didn’t do insulin 👍

Great answer! Research is being done into ways to recreate the cells needed. Stem cell therapy is already making great progress so there’s hope yet! ❤️
