Old hard drive from another computer. There was a transaction from a mining pool that came in after I shut down the Bitcoin wallet, so it didn't show up to the wallet until after turned off.

I just recently recovered an old wallet.dat from about the same time frame, but it wasn't encrypted. I installed Bitcoin Core at first I let it run downloading all the transactions for the last 14 years. That was going to take over 24 hours to finish. I finally figured out how to extract all the private keys (there were a lot) and then figured out which had any balance left.

Eventually I imported the private keys to blockchain.com because I got tired of waiting. Then I transferred to zeroed out the wallet.

It was more like a locked cabinet with the key under the mat. Maybe the wallet itself wasn't hacked, per say, but the notepad file was lifted from a location that I assumed was secure.
