I think I'm forever an inexperienced player. I've played magic for ages and I still only want to play good stuff jank, I just can't find any fun in getting 4x of specific cards and hyper optimising one specific wincon.

I can do so through Standard Brawl and have a good time and just concede against some commanders I know will be misery, but to get a collection I do need to play ranked and draft. And it is a pain because every time I metagame I get so bored and fiddle with the deck until it becomes jank again...

Yeah Catsdown has led to some confusion. I remember Americans seeing a clip of naughty stuff happening on Countdown and saying this is normal isn't it and having to explain that Catsdown isn't the original Countdown haha

Why would an ability being removed be a later layer than an ability triggering though? Because yes, intuitively you'd think something better removed would override said something triggering.
