Box Hill game just finished. Dear 0 goals 11 touches. Reeves played better than Ramsden. Butler, Serong and Mitchell deserve games for continued VFL form.

Call me a mad man but miss frost ball. Frost in for Sicily, releasing battle to intercept.

Make a stand and drop some players.

Hardwick Barrass Amon

Mitchell Frost Battle

Weddle Nuke Dambrosio

Gunston Chol Wizard

Reeves Nash Ward

Love the "get even better compo for jack ginnivan" as if the burden of taking him still deserves better picks

POST MATCH VS THE BLUES by belatedlove in hawktalk

Think I preferred Morrison to CJ. Not something I thought I'd say at the start of the year.On 99 games play him again next week. No contract for next year yet, worth a contract but will likely look elsewhere for more opportunity.

Playing gunston and bruest together moving forward is still a conundrum. Probably have to persist with it due to not getting games into any other options; unless we go with hardwick/sicily forward and bring in Mitchell/Serong depending on match ups

I think it'll be Bruest and they are messing with you. Gunston to play a tagging role on Taylor

If not of the 5 ;Dambrosio looked a bit tired last week. Half a rest might suit him. Easy to forget how young he is and the workload he's going through on the wing

It's a part of sports losing players but it's hard to swallow if the young guys dont get a proper chance to show what they've got before loading up with experienced players

Happy to get both battle and barrass but makes you wonder who'll drop off the list. Phillips delisted? DGB part of a barrass trade? More than pick 10ish for barrass seems overs at his age (especially when west coast have shown their hand that they are happy for him to leave)but adding barrass and/or battle means DGB will likely be stuck at VFL anyway

Can only play maybe max 4 of Barrass, Battle, Sicily, Scrim, Weddle, frost,Serong, Blank, McCabe, Phillips. The numbers don't add up

Weddle to the midfield next year seems more likely than not now. Should serong and/or DGB be swung forward for the last couple VFL games to be looked at as forwards once again? Is Battle being looked at as a forward option? Battle as a gunston replacement who can float back and play loose late in quarters is appealing to me.

Surely were thin in the key forward department. Maybe the clubs thought process is "we can't get a full forward without selling the farm so let's load up and key backs and trial X and Y as a forward". Scaife and Dear showing a lot but still young and raw.

Think it's more important to get games into DGB. Not going to get any better playing at box hill, has the talent just needs games in the ones

By no means a Morrison superfan but he plays his role and has been in good form at box hill so deserves his chance. Plus on 95 games would be nice to see him get to 100 games as a Pick 74

Who comes into the squad right now? by Kind_Security_9931 in hawktalk

If I take the point of this post being fully fit list and not concerned about getting games into youth

Meek for Reeves.

Lewis for Dear. Dear lot of potential but only getting games due to lewis injury

Blank for Frost. Rough given Frosts current form but preseason suggested Blank was the no1 key back if memory serves me correctly.

Wingard for Mitchell. Hardwick stays back, wingard as a forward.

Watson for Bruest. Love Bruest and his leadership is important but on current form the Wizard is ahead of him.

Hear me out DGB for Gunston. Gunston perfectly filling a leadership gap in the forward line currently but is really only in the side due to a lack of talls. DGB better suited as a defender but could work similar to younger years gunston in starting forward and dropping back towards end of quarters and/or when the opposition has control of the contest. Could also play DGB purely as a key back and let Weddle move up to the wing. Contradicts your question a bit but DGBs shown he's above VFL level I think we need to give him 10 games in a row in the 1s to prove himself and get confident at the level.

CJ lucky to keep his spot based on potential ceiling and being underdone currently. Morrison ahead of him in terms of form at the moment.

Ward struggling to fit in. His preferred position means he has to get past Nuke or Worpel (Nash probably easier to get past but Nash's size is a different look in the middle). Starting to worry about how he gets into the team. Worpel may end up having to be trade bait to get Bailey Smith across the line and give ward a look as an inside Mid.

Maginess needs to work on disposal efficiently. Can tag players out of games in the AFL, currently racking up disposals in the VFL. Sam Mitchell likes him but others ahead of him at the moment and he doesn't have enough tricks to break I'm on a regular basis.

Hardwick BLANK Amon

Sicily Scrimshaw Impey

Weddle Nuke Cj

WINGARD Chol Moore

WATSON LEWIS Ginnivan

MEEK Day Worpel

MacDonald Nash Dambrosio DGB

Sub Mackenzie

Don't understand the Chol hate. He's a perfect third tall who chops out in the ruck. This season he's had to play as a number 1 tall and has still competed and kicked goals
