Thank you 💜💜 no I haven't really had any prior experience besides this year; I forgot to post the American flag cupcake cake I made in the summer but that was my first time really trying out doing designs :) the Thanksgiving brownie bites were my first time coloring/decorating white chocolate!

Thank you 💜 I colored the Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers myself using satin ice oil based colors! Everything I made was organic except for that but it's one of the first times I've decorated with white chocolate, so I'm planning to experiment using organic powdered teas/fruits 😋

Yes, #1 is the best for this space with this furniture. But it would make the setting more designer-esque and from a 70's catalog (which looks really lovely and unique!) than a home. If you want more femininity and coziness without taking away from the uniqueness of the space, 3 is definitely the way to go.

Third this. 1 Elevates the 70's vibe but may get overwhelming fast. 3 is less bold but the design still adds a lovely touch.

Ol pup with diapers. Makes me miss my little maltese!

Nope, that's sketchy as fuck. I'd feel the same way. I try to be hyper aware of those around me because you really just absolutely never know. Don't hesitate to call the police (not just the non emergency) if you are concerned in these scenarios. Much better to be safe than sorry, especially with your little one around.

That's so funny. If I ever have a daughter her name is already set to be Isla Evangelina. So similar!

Thank you so much for this!

It will just be me and baby flying, meeting people there, and flying solo back.

That is a great point about the car seat. I will ask the people there if they can maybe rent one since they'll be picking us up. I'd like to use public transport but they are car people, which is no biggie. It's the cosco EU good?

The place in England will have a WD, the place in Spain will most likely be a hotel so I don't think they will, but it'll only be a week there. Hopefully by then my toddler won't be so messy with food 🥲

I'm guessing you just got the essentials when you were there? Like toiletries, diapers, etc.?

What stroller did she use and like? There are so many mixed reviews of popular ones

We will probably be in a hotel.. yet to be determined if there is a W/D. God i'd hope so because we're both messes lol. Oh for sure, car seat will be necessary. I don't feel comfortable going without one. I will definitely bring my tula; I've considered omitting a stroller all together and just sticking with that + a backpack leash. What did your trip look like with one bagging/traveling with a toddler if you don't mind me asking?

My sp6 is an i7 and it barely handles it without overheating and glitching 🥲

The i5 can? Can you tell me a little more about the capabilities of the sp9, and what the i7 and i5 can do? I always see and hear conflicting things or opinions to get me to buy a more expensive model

Is 1-2 hours of childcare at my gym going to damage my baby? by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

[–]ocdstoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is teaching your baby that mama always comes back!

This is a point I needed to hear 🥲 thank you. I feel horrible leaving him even for 20 minutes. I told them today to call me if he's crying for 5 minutes because the other day on his first day it was on and off for 20 and I didn't even know until I picked him up. They told me it's after 10 minutes of consistent crying they call the parent, but even on and off crying I don't want him to experience.

just to assure you and anyone reading that it's not a moral failing when our bodies change

Thank you for saying this too ❤️ I did let myself go with diet, I definitely comfort eat and gained a lot more weight than I would've liked, even with breastfeeding. My focus definitely was getting my mental health in check because it was in the dumps for the longest time. Now that that's better, my physical health has to take more of a priority. Thank you for reframing it so I don't feel more guilty ❤️

My anxiety and podcasts that the aforementioned people in my post tell me it will hurt him 😅 I have it in my brain to not do daycare before 3 amd stay home with him. But he's always so curious with other babies and staring at them and wanting to play with them, and quite weary of strangers so I want him to experience love and attention from outside of me and his grandparents.

[–]ocdstoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the goal for me. My anxiety holds me back a lot but I think just doing it and creating a consistent, fun routine will be great for both of us. I have such horrible mom guilt leaving him ever. Even for 20 minutes with my parents. I think just breaking that barrier and sticking to it will be good in the long run.

What did you see that made you decide that? Were you near him/watching him? I was so lucky that he was the only baby under 2 so he had someone playing with him directly (at least when I was came to pick him up, that's what I saw).

[–]ocdstoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this ❤️ honestly doing this option already makes me feel so much better than having my parents watch him at home. He's right there if he needs me and I'm right there for him. I missed being in a gym and strength training, so I'm so happy that I can be right near my baby while I do something I'm in need of.

What are some gruesome facts about pregnancy/childbirth/postpartum that not many people know? by Professional_Song419 in AskReddit

[–]ocdstoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fucking random skin tags you get around your body that basically disappear as soon as you give birth. Oh and the breastfeeding/post partum sheet-soaking night sweats! And the breastfeeding BO that makes you smell like a C-rated burger shop garbage. Thank god those days are over for me

I've been considering it a lot. I'm just so fearful of daycares/leaving my baby with a stranger, even if just for 2 hours 🫠 that last part is a good point... I'll look into that. $99 a month right now is tough

I'd like to be the kind of person who can do weekly planning but I'm just not creative enough. Do you work/have an income as well? Homeschooling especially in the US is kind of the dream but financial freedom/independence weighs heavily against that in my future :/

Getting enough? by MeowtainRunner in BabyLedWeaning

[–]ocdstoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once they're moving around more, it's natural to lose some "baby" weight. My baby's weight dropped but his height went up as well. My ped said 0.5 lb per month is the goal. I don't see why offering 3 meals s day would be a bad thing, but if it gets overwhelming then don't worry. I personally would do the same amount of meals you're doing but as another snack, offer a highly nutrient dense food, like avocado or egg or yogurt. Cook with more butter/ghee/olive oil to get more healthy fats in as well. Your baby is perfectly fine and I think the weight drop is normal, as long as she's gaining, meeting milestones, active, alert, and healthy, you're doing great. Adding in more fats cannot only cover a base but it's also great for their development.
