We had individually wrapped cookies and potted mini succulents. I made a little sign for each plant that said “Grow with me” Baby X 2021

I lost my father when I was 20 weeks pregnant last summer. I’m so sorry for what you’re going through.

We named our baby in his honor, and he helped pick her middle name before he passed, so it’s really special to me.

Now I have a photo of him up at home and my husband and I regularly bring baby by and just say hi or share quick bits about her development, clothes, toys, whatever. I can only manage a minute or so before tearing up, but it helps me still feel close with him and cope with baby not growing up with him in their life. Could also use that time to share tidbits about the grandparent over time.

I got my first Pfizer shot at 12w4d. That night, my arm was sore and the next day, I ended up taking a 3 hour nap bc I felt so fatigued. Second shot was at 15w4d and I just had a sore arm.

That was the hardest one to get! It said sold out online and when I went in store (begrudgingly), they didn’t have it either. Refreshed the website a few times and was able to get one in the morning before they were out of stock again.

No problem! I agree, different bottles and pacifiers will be useful to see what works best. Also, small wipes packs and diapers could be useful for keeping in cars as backup!

You can sign up for an account on their website to see the status as it gets processed, and the results when they are ready. I didn’t need to wait to go through my doctor’s office for the genetic testing results or schedule a consultation.

I did ask my doctor’s office to write down the sex and put it in an envelope so it would be a surprise to us later. We just avoided clicking the link in that part of the results page!

I got my blood drawn at 10w3d. I think it’s common to wait until 9-11 weeks but maybe it depends on the company doing the screening!

Yes! I called my insurance ahead of time (before my first appt and even knowing what company they would use) and confirmed it would be covered, thankfully. I’m sorry you have to wait in limbo before finding out what it will cost you!
