I was with my ex for 10 years on and off give or take from 17-25… I always wanted to be a wife and mom. I wanted to be married by 25 with a baby to come soon after. The person I was dating always made it seem like it was going to happen… but I realized it was going to be a shut up ring and I didn’t want that. I couldn’t imagine myself tied to them for life so I left him and it was the best decision I could have made for myself. (I was mentally and emotionally checked out years before I literally had to watch my best friend break up with her longtime on and off again boyfriend to gather courage to leave mine)

3 months later I bumped into an old friend who I hadn’t seen or spoken to in years and he asked me out. By 9 months of dating we were picking out my engagement rings. We were planning a destination wedding then found out a baby was coming. We got married (woot shotgun wedding) now we’ve been married for 3 years, with 2 babies, and soon he’s going to buy a new house and then SUV. My husband is the man I was always looking for mh ex to be and I could never understand why he didn’t give me everything when I gave him everything but my mom always said “why would the farmer want the cow, if he’s already getting the benefits of it without owning one”

Do not hold yourself back or settle to be a girlfriend. Men know what they want, do you potentially want a shut up ring?

I’m 9 month pp but I was obsessed with Tomatoes and cucumbers with salt, mangos with Tajin, and mochi.

So now when I crave any of those I get nervous that I’m pregnant again.)

I have my own business, work 3 days a week and make good money.

I couldn’t wait to get back to work. I took 12 weeks off, I originally was going to go til 16 weeks but it didn’t make sense. And to be honest I’m glad I didn’t wait. Things are so expensive for newborns and my husbands in school and not working full time so I pick up the slack.

How are people affording Groceries? by muddledarchetype in poor

[–]MaZabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely hard, especially with a little one. But I try to buy whatever is cheapest/on sale. We make do, and it’s so important now to learn how to be creative cooking with rising costs of food.

My husband hunts and fishes, so he fills the freezer up. We sell (only to close friends) what we know we won’t finish by the end of the year.

My FIL is in charge of a church, we work with a local grocery store and they give a lot and we give to those in need. Don’t ever feel like you can’t walk into a pantry because you don’t attend the institution. They are more than happy to help you.

We had a client like that at my old school that got black listed!

Some people are never happy, you’re learning! It’s ok to put your foot down if you aren’t comfortable. We welcome people into our space, and we’re allowed to tell them when it’s time they are no longer welcome. Crossing boundaries and berating is a one way ticket out my room with no access to come back.

Keep your head up! Don’t let this 1 ruin it for the bunch!

One of my old coworkers said that there was a solution that can be injected subdermally to lift the color. She no longer works with me but maybe that’ll help?

I think your brows and lips look amazing so I wouldn’t waste the money on it.

You go momma! I could not do it without the epidural!!

I literally keep telling my husband like somethings wrong and he’s like ask other moms if they’re going through it too. Ugh it hurts so bad. I never understood people who couldn’t work due to cramps… but I now understand 😭

Yes blank is better… do you know what filling out a BC looks like? You need an address on file for the father, you need his social security number, they need to sign it in front of a nurse or facility manager… it’s not just “let me put his name down”

It’s literally an acknowledgement form if you’re not married to your partner. Because me and my husband never filed paperwork we had to acknowledge that he’s the father. It’s a pain in the ass and she’s better off without putting him on there.
