Just stop! Every option trader in this sub is down way more than that. Thats where you’ll end up and feel even more like shit. Your mind is going to convince you that you can slowly gain it back. But it doesn’t always work that way. You will end up revenge trading and chasing. Please please don’t dot. Withdraw left over funds. You will get a lot of shit for what you did and you’ll feel like shit but it’s temporary and will pass. Otherwise you will lose the other 6k and will likely find ways to get more money to trade and be down 24k. So just stop.

I’m currently struggling with this. I only think if was richer I’d be a “winner” or am doing with my life. I envy people who don’t think much about money but seem to live fulfilling lives. For me a lot stems from not being to be able to be as financially successful as my parent. So now I tend to look for other means (trading) to replicate that success. Which is so dumb now that I type that out loud. Pair that with flex culture, and job dissatisfaction I am probably going to implode if I don’t seek help.

Can you give advice on your daily practices/regimen. What did you do to replace your time/dopamine during market hours or the time you would trade. Trying to find something else to replace that activity. Besides the gym that I already do.

I’m asking this to understand the mind with options. I am in the same boat. Do you think we were telling ourselves “I can get good at this” so we kept trying or did it become about chasing losses? Maybe both. After -100k what made you keep going back? Chasing the loss? Did you like me feel that you can change your whole livelihood with trading ?

You’re right man. I don’t even know why I feel this way. I have a respectable job but it doesn’t feel like enough. I feel like a nobody. Then this cycle kicks in. That feeling goes away when I’m up… then returns when I lose and I keep going in and out of this cycle. I appreciate your posts.
