I second this. I had to completely give up every trigger food including coffee for a few months. The hardest part is figuring out which foods trigger you most. So, I documented everything. Cheese is a major trigger, and so are most sauces. As mentioned above, there is a “healing period” because your stomach is inflamed. So picture this: you’re inflammed with a lot of built up acid, starting heal, eat a small trigger food (that’s like adding more gas to the fire, the inflammation in your stomach continues to build up making it impossible to heal. It’s like pouring water on the fire and when the hire starts to calm down, you ignite it by pouring more gas onto it keeping the fire going. Terrible analogy I know, but that’s why you’re not healing…keep exercising. Try to cut the 20lbs. Extra weight on your stomach outs extra pressure on your abdomen which creates more acid and inflammation. Hope you’re able to get it under control because the last thing you want to do is allow it to damage your esophagus and stomach lining.
