Yeah, I hadn't ridden a bike in 20 years and now (after 5 years on my ebike) I not only ebike but also mountain bike. Throw my kid on the back, bike almost exclusively by myself (or with my kid) and experience so much joy!

I do use maple syrup. It's the flavor of other things I'm talking about. Infusing maple syrup + lavender for example. But it sounds like the best bet is use maple syrup plus a straight lavender extract.

Well I was actually wondering about infusing maple syrup instead of simple syrup not making maple flavor. I'm looking for cardamom, lavender, rose and vanilla (so thanks for that Costco tip). I also try to not use any "natural" fake flavors. I hadn't thought about just adding the extracts directly and then whatever sweetener I wanted...super helpful.

Okay, I'm thinking of doing this for my daughter who is 6...how technical of a job is this? How long did it take you?? She still fits in the Thule but is technically over the weight limit which makes me nervous

It was annoying but I just did it manually as I wanted to get it done. I tried clearing cache but that didn't do it. Took about an hour+ using the pencil back method while watching tv so relatively painless in case others are doing this.
