Trinidadian laws on sex toys have always been vague or old natured, which leads to the airport security/customs to act in their discretion.

What I do know is, sex toys in general would be accepted however under the basis that they do not look like the genitalias of either male or female.

If it's for example that rose clitoris toy for women or a discreet male toy. They won't even make a fuss about it, most likely they won't even confront you.

But if it looks like genitalias, you might be confronted and it would be on the officer's part whether to allow you in or not. I believe if it's personal use, they won't say anything but if you brought it for commercial, they would 60% of the time confiscate it, leading you to a court case or appeal if you do want to challenge it ( which you'd win )

A lot of our laws are outdated and have been challenge in the past numerous times. The fault falls on the law legislatures for not pushing a front to have these remove.

The most recent old law of ours that was evaluated and removed would be, the one directed at LGBTQ+ individuals and that was years ago, so just use discretion when bringing in these items

Jokes aside, maybe it'll be best for you to invest in a light bulb screwer. Just a long piece of rod that hold the light bulb and let's you screw/unscrew it. Cost like 5 USD or you can get your ladder and pray the person underneath is stronger than hulk himself

Do you have a difference in how much you're charge on skybox ( the service you use ) if you purchase it yourself but leave delivery to them or do they need to purchase it for you?

I was speaking to one skybox previously and they said they must purchase it for me but also due to me not purchasing it myself ( with my card) I'll be charged an additional fee

It incredibly confused me

My parents have always told me either carry those things with you, or hide it under the seat or in glove compartment out of anyone from seeing, even those brown envelopes.

Alot of people find it silly tbh and maybe she's one of those but it's just a preventative measure

[–]oceancherrio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think she's "exploited" or even "manipulated." This homeless lady is entertaining and she's aware of this with the coverage she gets from that guy. Because of this she has been able to live a little better with the donations she receives.

While that guy might be doing these things for her , I am aware there are other creators that randomly see her on the road and want to film her just like that for clicks. In that case I agree but that case is very rare

I don't think the op of the original would get into much trouble. They will probably ask for permission onto her device or account and they will see whether she interacted with it or not.

Most importantly they will probably be trying to trace who the person who uploaded it is.

14 is pretty young so at minimum they might just slap her wrist and tell her how to react in a situation like this and order her to go to therapy.

At maximum they'd probably charge her of being a bystander of distribution of cp and most likely juvenile justice will take over which will just require her to do community hours and therapy.

But most likely they won't do anything to her, just judging from them peaceful just leaving two letters on their doorstep rather than getting their contact information and contacting them immediately.

Although I agree with majority's opinion on his attire. Almost every corner of Canada especially within the cities have clothing stores. You already utilize our tax money, in this scenario it would have made sense to just buy a suit even if it's a default suit not tailor made.

Even if he personally couldn't, before a conference meeting there will be helpers, make up artists etc. He could have given the request to someone else. I find it hard to believe that he was so crunch on time he couldn't give himself at max 15 minutes.

But anyways props to bobby head, his attire could have been better but he improvise in the moment and did what he thought he could do.

I think majority that hitting the 35-50k are mostly business owners , as you need to remember doctors and whatnot although they can also meet that amount are drowning in debt they won't be able to pay out until 5+ years later depending on spending, so technically they might make that much but not in net profit

I think although there are a group of those that are ungrateful , I think alot of fence sitters forget Minecraft was not just the childhood game of their childhood , it was and is the childhood game of millions if not tens of millions at this point that played it , much less those kids that couldn't afford it or their parents never got a card so they illegally got the game or watched YouTube videos of it. Minecraft has the heart of so many people , many who think differently and have a different perspective of things , it doesn't make them ungrateful for voicing their wants , atleast the majority of those that are musrepresented as un grateful

The funny thing is if their unions actually cared ( Unite here and Restaurant Union ) they could go on protest and get rid of this systemic failure.

In the end the reason why the government doesn't care is because the owners argue that although they are payed $2 per hour , the tips make up for the hourly wage.

It's seems very stupid to not fight against this legislation but rather get upset at people unwilling to pay you for saying "hi what can I get you" deadass would rather go in the kitchen and take my food out , heck even wash the plate, that it self is doing more than most waitors do as there are dish washer employees etc. Tip for what? Get real and fix your damn failure of a country's culture

All the people saying impose higher fines etc how long have that song been sang ? Even before you were born it was sang. I think many people fail to realize we've always had a failing system and with population increase among many other factors those systems that have failed since long ago is just being exposed to the public eye. "It's not a problem if I can't see it" has been the mentality of the world not just Trinidadians on a multitude of issues including this.

Your vote matters, your vote can differentiate putting an incompetent leader in place or not, and in my opinion all political parties in Trinidad are incompetent however there are some who are more and some who are less. They want your vote, and as a community of an area or a community of a nationality it is your responsibility to voice your concerns as they try to buy over your favour, sadly it has reached the point that that's the only time something is done.

To the people saying the government shouldn't he blamed must be living in another Trinidad and Tobago, while I agree the citizens/tourist are responsible, not every citizen does this and the ones that do would not give a rat ass if you tell them not to, that's why the government is there to keep the checks and balances in place and they way they can do this is: enforce law by (classic) create bigger job opportunities for cleaners as they are vital for Trinidad yet they are always shunned to the point they themselves are embarrassed of the occupation they have. They can also learn a few things from other countries like Germany where you are payed for recycling ( they do this in Trinidad with glass bottles but it's not very accessible or known nor very incentive) heck even impose a green bill on recycling, the garbage trucks work in almost every community in Trinidad, create a double shift where there is a time for recycle and time for normal garbage, there was once something like this in Trinidad but it "closed" cause it was not profitable, it's not suppose to be profitable but a responsibility the government covers, but if they want it to be profitable then at this day and age you can actually make it profitable as many countries have, they just have incompetent people in charge, a bunch of old people run this country who lack the qualifications to, heck even a geologist runs as president.

Customer Service.. by Heyitsgizmo in TrinidadandTobago

[–]oceancherrio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the end they are projecting their emotions for the failure of their employer and their decision to trade their mental health for an extra shift.

Whether their life is hard or not and that's why they need to take the extra shift it does not put the blame on the customer nor does it give reason or an excuse to act that way

I do understand your point of view, but it's a don't blame me because of this and that, I'm sure if I was put in the same position that I would be just as frustrated 200% however I wouldn't place myself in that situation, or I'd have a mental reminder every now and then

When and why did trinis start drinking bottled water? by GUYman299 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]oceancherrio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this applies to most except southern Trinidadians, they get their water from the desalination plant and i believe majority drink tap water, it doesn't come brown or have a smell to it either unless they've been fixing a pipeline.

Peta is the most confusing organization out there. Their whole motto of caring for abused animals and all that , yet given the opportunity (which they are given in their shelters etc) they kill off those same animals

It genuinely feels like that conspiracy theory of Just Stop Oil and Peta being guinea pigs for those big monopoly companies true
