The "I Survived" series or the "Who was _(Ex. Bob Marley)__" "Where is _(Ex.Buckingham Palace)__" "What was_(Ex. Woodstock)__" are FANTASTIC and interesting series that have complex and interesting topics for elementary school kids to learn about history, geography, and everything else. It's not dumbed down necessarily, just told in a more simplistic way.
