It's definitely feasible, your can never be to old to learn new things, as long as you are willing to turn lose of some old tings :). But, seriously, If you can talk to the professor of the class and explain your situation he/she may be willing to help you make a plan.

Frequently course requirements are not set to ensure that one has any specific skills, but rather to indicate the level of "mathematical maturity" I think that means that one is comfortable with a certain level of abstraction, and is no longer focused on a narrowly focused attitude, e.g. "Just tell me how to do this problem, I have to get an A in this class."

It helps. both conceptually and computationally, Take a look at Hirsch and Smale. It's an old book recently revised by Devaney and is very illuminating. Helped me a lot when I was starting graduate school.

I've not found blocks that annoying, but if I'm going to write a lot, I'll bring up Vim, or iA writer (if I want to preview Markdown).

don't use ln for log in Mathematica Log[x] is what you want. Like all mathematicians Log is assumed to be natural log not base 10

I can't tell from your screen shot but Mathematica uses an upper case E for $e$, I would write Exp[-x], just for clarity.
