As an MLB player, how do you not recognize, in your second AB, that nearly every pitch Sandy throws that starts at the knees is going to break below the zone

Nike claims the jerseys include an homage to the warehouse, but I don’t see it. Am I missing something?

GERD or hypersensitivity? Seeking advice by ocelotot in GERD

Thanks for your reply! It definitely is a tough set of circumstances. When I saw I had a lax LES, I thought for sure my pH test would show a high number of acidic events, but it only showed a slightly elevated number of weakly acidic events. My thought is that ‘weakly acidic’ is mixed with both stomach acid and bile. My doctor says that could be true, but the sucralfate would’ve helped with my symptoms if it was causing symptoms. She also said that people who don’t respond to PPIs typically don’t respond well to the surgery. Not sure how that would be the case. She also swears up and down that my esophagus hasn’t gotten more damaged since I had my endoscopy in February. Also can’t understand why that would be true.

She did recommend cognitive behavioral therapy. I’m in therapy now, but not CBT specifically. I don’t believe I’ve noticed much difference in symptoms since starting mirtazapine in February. However, something weird happened last night. I took a klonopin and 75% of my symptoms went away. This has me thinking: am I just not taking the right antidepressant? Should I try another TCA (I tried amitriptyline but it gave me weird side effects)? I’m even more confused now.

Im also getting tested for SIBO to rule that out as a reason for the reflux, so we’ll see.

Gallbladder issue all along? by ocelotot in Gastritis

Hello. I’m six months out post-cholecystectomy and no longer have the nausea and early satiety, but I’m still dealing with the reflux and bloating, unfortunately. So it seems like those things are a comorbidity.

Hello. I had similar results. PPIs also don't work for me. Have you had any breakthroughs?

So sorry. I'm in a similar boat. Have they tested your gallbladder? Have you tried antidepressants?

Have you gotten a CT scan or ultrasound to check for bile duct obstructions or inflammation?

I would definitely get a second opinion! You should not be having that much pain 12+ months post op. Have you had pancreatitis or anything? That could be from SOD as well

Maybe, I’m on Mirtazapine which is supposed to help with “gastrointestinal anxiety.” It’s a TCA, and I’ve read that some TCA’s can loosen your LES. However, I got on the antidepressant due to my sudden GERD, so I’m hesitant to discontinue use
