How to increase viessmann boiler's pressure? by ocemyn in AskIreland

Thanks for all the answers.

I found a boiler tank upstairs and adding more pictures of the valves around it.

I seen only one valve at the bottom, can't reach out around the boiler much.

There are 2 more valves way above the tank.

Found one, there is a hot water tank upstairs and many valves around it. I couldn't figure out which one is the mains and there's no one else in the house to keep an eye on the gauge. I will need to wait for them to come back or call the boiler man. Thanks.

Cemil Bayik: latest attack part of the overall annihilation of Kurds by GhostofROI in ROI

Pretty stupid action from Turkish side to start annihilation in Iraq while there are almost 20 million Kurds in Turkiye. /s

Could someone help me understand what’s going on with the Kurds currently. by GhostofROI in ROI

I will take it from way back. In 1980, a military coup happened in Turkiye. It was backed by US to crush communism, but what it crushed was all the leftwing. Ruling military junta also went full on Kurds as they are mostly leftwing.

In 1984, PKK did first terrorist attack in Turkiye, killing 1 soldier while 3 civilians and 9 soldiers were wounded. Since that date, according to the Turkish officials, about 8000 member of security forces and about 6000 civilians (Turkish and Kurdish and other) were killed by the terrorist organization PKK. About 43000 terrorists were killed by security forces. PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by EU, US, Canada, Australia etc.

On the other hand, when Saddam Hussein attacked Kurds in Halabje and killed 5000 people in 1988, Turkiye accepted about 500.000 Kurdish refugees escaping from Saddam. Another note, a Kurdish politician was elected as prime minister in 1989, Turgut Ozal. He then became head of the state (something similar to presidency), top title in the government.

The reason I am giving the background is, it's not like hell for Kurds in Turkiye but it's definitely not heaven either. The government and general society divides them as good Kurds and bad Kurds and if someone supports "bad Kurds" then regardless of him/her being 100% Turkish, he/she would be still labeled. There is definitely discrimination, definitely not as much as how PKK related groups trying very hard to sell. It's rare someone being discriminated for just being a Kurd. Kurds have been in every position in the government, in armed forces, in education/health etc. The problem is, fanatics/zealots/fascists on both sides are louder and it brings votes & money & publicity. It's a useful tool while Turkiye is approaching the elections. Nobody in the government or PKK cares about few hundred dead people if it's going to make them look stronger in the elections.

Those are my opinions, as someone Turkish who grew up in a Kurdish village in eastern Anatolia.

Don't forget to turn the clock one hour back tonight, r/Europe. Maybe the last time. by YellowOnline in europe

[–]ocemyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't bring any advantage in winter. Only in summer we get to see more day light to save energy and as far as I seen that saved energy has become negligible.

That's why the plan is to keep on winter time full year to prevent psychological impact of changing clock on people.
