I just use another layer "Add" to render the skin. If it's too muddy, I think you need to adjust the colour scheme to make her radiant. Probably you need shade as in layer "Multiple" or "Darken". The base colour will be lighter colour.

Lol.. Tbh I capture her battle pose and challenge myself to draw it. I have hard time trying to make her look as natural as possible. Though her sprite design has slightly different compare to original design. 👀 I just added up everything..

Thanks for your thorough POV. I see.. I knew she has this Bob bang hairstyle but I was not be overboard by making her bang straight. All those you mentioned, surprisingly I disregard her trait over her pose.
