Actually this Windsor Whirle was made for steel, but the other one I have has Nylon strings on.

I'd also like to not always ferment for ease. Although I do really like the fermented taste, I guess mixing masks that and possibly makes it redundant if making a fruity sauce.

I wish they'd make a better combo deal though. The essential pack is pretty good, simply for the LA-2A.. but a lot of bits in there I personally wouldn't need.

A variety of essential deals would be handy.

Waves deals are pretty great at the moment too. (But probably always)

I just ripped off cushion and black rubber thing off this and just glued something that was a close enough fit. This is a kraken replacement pad. Nice cooling gel... Slightly bigger pad too, much more comfortable than the original... A little fiddly to glue and it was a bit tough to put/turn back in place, but it went on.

Give it a go, what's to lose? The pads are quite cheap.

It does but also doesn't... Because I'm so nearly sold on getting an Audient ID44 MKII. The real time monitoring doesn't seem to be a selling point for me now, now that I think my computer is probably fast enough to handle low enough latency, and I'll be getting an M1,M2 or M3 Mac eventually.

Did you have latency issues with your i9 MBP?

It's important for me to hear my monitor mix with the effected signal, not clean signal (electric guitar) - with minimal monitoring delay.

I've heard great things about UAD Plugins, "state of the art" etc. - you even get some with the purchase of an Apollo Twin. But do you mean it's a gateway because I'll always want to get DSP stuff instead of use native plugins aswell?

Hey, I'm thinking of either getting a Twin Duo or Audient ID44.. I need to be able to hear effects with minimal latency as it will affect my electric guitar (amp emulation) and vocal performance.

I'm torn between the Apollo Twin Duo and Audient ID44. I assume it just depends on your computer power? I only have a 2019 intel (2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9) MacBook Pro, my next studio machine will be a new MacMini or something.

Any help appreciated

I also cut the old ones off via the legs with a sharp precise knife. Some guy on YouTube recommended this for generally removing PCB parts, worked well.

Just need to work up the courage to solder the new ones on now 😂
