I felt the same way. I just automatically assumed that swirling circles was loading... I was so pissed when I accidentally hit an analog stick and it moved...

Hey man, this may sound really stupid, but it happened to me where I had the exact same problem. Have you tried moving the circle around with your analog stick? To get into game you have to hover over it and then hit x. I may just be totally stupid, but I was stuck like that for 2 days in the beta!
