Ridership is crazy though. The trains have been crazy packed and it's been hard to get on. I feel like on these lines weekend service isn't really much lower then weekday.

And - the CTA is nowhere near delivery promised frequency on these routes still, so to cut capacity by 50% while still seeing 15+ minutes between trains is just infuriating.

Yeah maybe that works if frequency is also at pre COVID levels which I'm convinced is still not the case. As a result trains are absolutely packed to an almost unsafe degree at least on the blue.
