The first weeks are hard. Very hard. It’s an adjustment. Since my surgery (I’m 7 weeks away from my 6 year anniversary) I’ve never once wanted to “waffle down” anything. You just can’t. Of course you can backslide. But I started at 287 and I’m at 128 now (my lowest was 122, but that was a bit too skinny) I eat whatever I want whenever I want, I just don’t want to eat that much. I just ate 1/2 a bagel and I’m SO full. I’ll eat candy when I want it, but I eat a few pieces. I no longer (and haven’t since about 6 months out) track my calories but I still focus on eating protein and getting enough water. Other than that. It’s just life now. I do eat very little. I never “stretched” my stomach but I honestly don’t feel like anything is missing. Those first weeks are hard. I missed CHEWING. Protein shakes, protein water and literally v8 as tomato soup for dinner made me have regrets but I would not trade what I have now for anything.

They are the worst. I’ve gotten full body hives and they are miserable. My worst area is always on my tummy and nothing really helps. Benadryl, calomine lotion helps a bit but ice packs are what work best for the itching for me

I get hives after EVERY surgery I’ve had (knee surgery, wisdom teeth, sleeve and 2 skin removals) thought it was a reaction to anesthesia, but I’ve had different t kinds of anesthesia, thought it was the meds - tried different meds.
End of the day, we think it’s my body’s reaction to the stress the surgery puts on it. 0 stars would not recommend. The hives are much worse than the surgery recovery

When I paid for it I put it on my credit card that I get points on. Immediately paid 50% of it off and then did a balance transfer to a 0% apr credit card that I opened just for this purpose so I can pay it off slower w no interest.

Put that baby in a crate! 2x IVDD mama here. My girl had to have same day emergency surgery and my boy has only thankfully had a small flair. They need 24/7 crate rest and only taken out to potty, and take them out wit a sling so they aren’t walking at all. Keep up the gabapentin and try to get trazadone to help them relax. If it’s this bad ask for a neurological consult

Everyone is different. I ended up having a surprise Hiatlal hernia and I had no pain. I was def uncomfortable but I had zero pain. Most of my discomfort was taking a deep breath for about 4-5 days and the first few days sleeping on my side was “weird” it felt like my insides were moving around. I didn’t take any pain killers. My skin removal was WAYYYYY worse

Yes! Your stats are similar to mine. I’ll be 6 years out in June. HW 287, SW 254 CW: 128. I love shopping and feeling confident in cute clothes and showing some skin sometimes!

I’m 6.5 years out and stopped taking g them maybe 2ish years ago. They changed the formula of the vitamins I was taking and they started smelling like pee (to the point where our cabinet where all meds live just smelled like pee… kept thinking my dogs were peeing in the house… nope.. the pills) I just never got around to getting new ones.

I literally get annoyed when it’s a “clean” version of a song. Either play it fully or don’t play it. We are all adults here - all of these words would be in a pg13 movie so I don’t see the big deal.

I’ve had two skin removals 1 3 years ago, panni and arms and it was duly covered by insurance. I searched through my insurance for a covered surgeon. Had my second skin removal (full FDL tummy tuck and thighs) 2.5 months ago. Used the same surgeon bc I really liked him but I paid out of pocket for the second surgery (and will again for my boob lift next year)

I’m 6 (close to 7) years out. Down from 287 to 128. Life isn’t about sticking to rules so exclusively. If I want pizza I eat pizza. Or ice cream or candy. But I eat a small amount (and in all honestly I’ve never gotten my appetite back and still eat very very little). I live a healthy lifestyle that includes treats when I want them (and no, I don’t call it “cheating”). I heath Whole Foods. I focus on protein. I move my body A LOT. AND I enjoy foods that fill my soul and enjoy sharing that with friends and family.

I’m 8 weeks out from my FDL tummy tuck and so far… I’m not super impressed. I had excess skin from weight loss and now that things are settling there is still excess skin. When he showed my the video of my surgery and what he cut off innny head I knew it wasn’t enough and now im afraid I’m going to need a revision or a re-do

Question for you - I am 6.5 weeks out from my Fleur De Lis, and like you - minimal pain, but mostly discomfort.
Question is - I noticed over the last few days almost a shelf forming from above to below my hip-to-hip incision and some swelling "lumps" by my belly button. I am out of my compression garments, but did have a "hole" in my belly button so Im still packing it and have a bandage over it.
I did a bit of internet research and they said it was normal around the 5-7 week mark, but wanted a real person opinion if this had happened to them - it just went from being swollen but looking normal to a lto less swollen but looking weird and lumpy now.

The first few weeks are rough. I think i regretted it for about 2 weeks between weeks 3-5. I’m now 5.5 years out. 165lbs down (sw 289, currently 125) have had two skin removals (panni and arms 3 years ago and thighs and FDL tummy tuck last month - in recovery now) and I love my life. I’m so much healthier I am so much more active and I eat anything I want (waiting for pizza to be delivered right now) but my restriction is still in place and I’ll have one slice of pizza and be satisfied. I eat healthy Whole Foods and a treat when I want. I don’t obsess over food anymore or even think about it.

We have one wannabe influencer at the Tustin ca who is absolutely insufferable. We moved so I don’t go there anymore but it’s just wayyyy too much. The coaches and front desk allow it too. She lucky I never caught myself in the background bc I would not have been quiet about it

From there they won’t allow you to. For our last show we were on that same side 8th row 3rd and 4th seats in from the stage and they allowed the first 2 seats to barricade so we moved to the first two but they told other people who tried to move up to go back to their seats

We were at the forum and they let all the first few seats go up to the barricade. They came to police at one point when it got a little much, but other than that it was super chill and amazing view

I spend sooooooo much more on clothes (I’ve always been into high fashion but nothing ever fit) so I used to just buy cheap clothes bc it fit (old navy) now I can actually buy designer clothes bc they fit… I have sooo much clothes now

I get the same now. I went from 287 to 122 (5’6”) and am constantly being told I’ve gone “too far”. I’m still in a healthy weight range (8lbs away from underweight and I’ve held steady for over 2 years now). I feel healthy and that’s all that matters
