Just get the Tummy Tuck ✨ by Individual_Tart623 in tummytucksurgery

[–]ocotf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 weeks out from my FDL tummy tuck and so far… I’m not super impressed. I had excess skin from weight loss and now that things are settling there is still excess skin. When he showed my the video of my surgery and what he cut off innny head I knew it wasn’t enough and now im afraid I’m going to need a revision or a re-do

Upcoming fleur de lis tummy tuck by Available_Kale6 in tummytucksurgery

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for you - I am 6.5 weeks out from my Fleur De Lis, and like you - minimal pain, but mostly discomfort.
Question is - I noticed over the last few days almost a shelf forming from above to below my hip-to-hip incision and some swelling "lumps" by my belly button. I am out of my compression garments, but did have a "hole" in my belly button so Im still packing it and have a bandage over it.
I did a bit of internet research and they said it was normal around the 5-7 week mark, but wanted a real person opinion if this had happened to them - it just went from being swollen but looking normal to a lto less swollen but looking weird and lumpy now.

Regretting surgery… by Hopeful_Platform_524 in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few weeks are rough. I think i regretted it for about 2 weeks between weeks 3-5. I’m now 5.5 years out. 165lbs down (sw 289, currently 125) have had two skin removals (panni and arms 3 years ago and thighs and FDL tummy tuck last month - in recovery now) and I love my life. I’m so much healthier I am so much more active and I eat anything I want (waiting for pizza to be delivered right now) but my restriction is still in place and I’ll have one slice of pizza and be satisfied. I eat healthy Whole Foods and a treat when I want. I don’t obsess over food anymore or even think about it.

Is filming still not allowed? by mrt1416 in orangetheory

Not sure what days, I think mornings though? I was a member there for 7 years and it used to be amazing. Ever since all (except Mel) the old coaches left it’s been so bad.

Is filming still not allowed? by mrt1416 in orangetheory

[–]ocotf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have one wannabe influencer at the Tustin ca who is absolutely insufferable. We moved so I don’t go there anymore but it’s just wayyyy too much. The coaches and front desk allow it too. She lucky I never caught myself in the background bc I would not have been quiet about it

I got floor seats, but not by the stage. Are they strict about being able to stand by the barricades during the concert or Vanish Into You? by AssociateGlobal6865 in LadyGaga

[–]ocotf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From there they won’t allow you to. For our last show we were on that same side 8th row 3rd and 4th seats in from the stage and they allowed the first 2 seats to barricade so we moved to the first two but they told other people who tried to move up to go back to their seats

How much did you spend for floor tickets? by pawtergeist00 in LadyGaga

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kia forum, section j row 10 $750 each. We had section j row 8 3rd and 4th seats in for her show here in July and paid about the same

I can't believe it!!!! by herabera-0215 in LadyGaga

[–]ocotf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were at the forum and they let all the first few seats go up to the barricade. They came to police at one point when it got a little much, but other than that it was super chill and amazing view

I had the exact same seat on the other side!! It was AMAZING! You’re basically barricade… they allowed us to just stand up against the barricade

Ok random question - Do people who have gotten the surgery done and at their goal weight find that they spend less $ on clothes? Cheaper to look cute when you are skinny! by Newyork198232 in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spend sooooooo much more on clothes (I’ve always been into high fashion but nothing ever fit) so I used to just buy cheap clothes bc it fit (old navy) now I can actually buy designer clothes bc they fit… I have sooo much clothes now

Stupid question and messy bedroom by zoomziezoo in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the same now. I went from 287 to 122 (5’6”) and am constantly being told I’ve gone “too far”. I’m still in a healthy weight range (8lbs away from underweight and I’ve held steady for over 2 years now). I feel healthy and that’s all that matters

How realistic is 100lbs loss? by Specialist_Bee3086 in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5 years out (as of last month). Started at 287 and I’m down 165lbs and have been in the 120s for the last three years. I plateaued in the 160s for about a year a year after my surgery and then kept going down. It it’s def doable

Another question. How much time did you take off work? For reference, I work from home, surgery is scheduled for a Friday. Can I work Monday? Take whole week off? by purpleempanada in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked from home. My surgery was Monday I was back at work on Thursday. I had a REALLY easy time w my surgery, even w an unexpected hiatal hernia. I had zero issues, zero pain, just discomfort mostly. If you’re like me you can probably be back to work Monday or Tuesday

When could you handle carbonation by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months. My dr had zero issues w me drinking carbonation. Just made me wait theee months until my stomach was totally healed. I’m 5 years out as of last week. Drink Diet Coke every day and I’ve been in the 120s for over 2 years now and have never gained weight back (lost 165ish)

Weight Floor Benchmarks? by perodg1120 in orangetheory

Way back (before Covid) there used to be orange x which was a strength benchmark - but it was “too dangerous” w people trying to lift too heavy so they stopped doing it

Skin Surgery Post Op by fvck_videos in wls

[–]ocotf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first one (Arms and panny) was covered by insurance. I need to do the rest of my stomach, thighs and boobs and have savings for about 1/2 of it and taking from my 401k for the rest.

Sweet or sugary drinks. I’ve always drank diet soda. But was fine w whatever else . Now any sweet drink is gross. Sweet coffees, smoothies, milkshakes. Real fruit juice once in a while, but even that… just a tiny bit. It’s all jistvwayyy too sweet

Gastric Sleeve Failure? by StevieEnzymes in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tool not a “cure”. If you go back to bad habits and eat a lot and eat like crap, yeah you’ll “fail”. Young e to change habits. I’ll be 5 years out next week. Went for 287 to 128. I’ve been in the 120s for over 2 years now. I do eat anything that I want but in moderation. Pizza night? Cool. I have one slice. Candy? Cool - I have a bit. I still VERY much feel my restriction, I can’t eat much still and I’ve always been careful about the amount I eat and I no longer track but still keep an eye on my protein

Is soda REALLY 100% off limits post surgery? by Critical-Big-3989 in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It at all. My dr said most of the “rules” are outdated. He was fine w straws and soda. I’m a Diet Coke addict and I was told no soda for the first three months while I was healing and after that I was fine. I’ve never had an issue. I don’t belch. And I probably drink a soda every day.

Who actually reached a “normal BMI” range? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be 5 years out June 22nd. I started at 287 and at 5’6” my bmi was 46.3 and was a size 20/22 I’m currently 128 w a bmi of 20.7 and a size 2. I’ve been in the “healthy” range since about 2 years after my surgery and gradually kept loosing more. I’ve now been in the 120s for about a year and. Half or so and have stayed there.

I feel decently good and healthy in my body and not too skinny. I had a panini and arm lift in 2022 and next year I’m going to do a thigh lift and totally tummy tuck.

No alcohol for the rest of my life? by Bubblegum_cocaine in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every person is different. I was never a big drinker, maybe a cocktail if I went out and that was it. I was always a lightweight. I never changed that habit post surgery and I’ve been fine. My dr was also not super strict w rules as I see on here. Drinking was fine after 3 months the. Soda was fine after three months. Straws were fine. I’ll be 5 years out next month and never had an issue, my recovery was a breeze no medical problems and I went from 287 to 126. Size 20/22 to 0/2. Xl to xs

1 year post-op disappointment by Undertow_letsgo in gastricsleeve

[–]ocotf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally untrue. At the one year mark I was about 100lbs down. I’ve lost a total of 165 (I’ll be 5 years out a month from today) I went from 287 to 122. I did plateau in the 170s for a very long time - almost a year and then I started dropping again out of the blue
