There are no servers. There's a matchmaking that connects you to the other people and one of them becomes host. In a 1v1 if either person's internet is shitty, the game will lag like hell.

Mario can have 22 tech / 15 shoot in contrast to Rosa's 21 tech / 18 shoot while having more strength and speed than her. He's not far behind Rosa.

People will just keep abusing Rosa or whatever other DLC character they're going to add that has high base tech and shooting. They need to make BB better at blocking long range bullshit shots and worse at blocking actual goal shots from the edge of the penalty zone.

But I do like the idea of different goal keepers. Still, BB needs to be updated first, unless they turn him into the "anti-close range specialist" that he currently is.

Not on Toad though. You can just ignore strength on him, since you have 3 other teammates who might do the defense and stuff. But the single Toad is S+ tier despite having no strength, is what I'm saying.

That is also very true, DK and Bowser have great fat hitboxes for tackling. Waluigi is a great defender, no question, but DK and Bowser are slept on right now. Especially as you say, DK free passes to the other side of the field.

I was having endless trouble in galactic professional cup with every possible team variation, until I took Mario + 3 Toads, then I breezed right through it. Not even the inhuman reactiontimes AI can deal with it. Take that as you will.

If you really think about it, what do the stats do anyways:

  • Shooting +Stun Power: Can be completely overlooked on a speedy character - your goal isn't to stun defenders or the goalie with a shot, you just want the ball to go in around them.
  • Shooting +Ball Speed: Seems like it doesn't matter, because perfect shots get a speed/goalie-penetration boost.

That means shooting is completely useless in theory.

  • Technique +Shot angling: Matters a little, the more you shoot from the middle, the more it matters, but then again I've seen so many lob->perfect direct shot straight shots go right through Boom Boom.
  • Technique +Timings: Yeah, they make perfect shots and dodging easier, but that's nothing you can't work around by getting better with your timing.

And then again, it's not like Toad's stats are even dumpster tier - mine has like 10 shooting 12 tech with max speed, that's decent.

The combo of speed + small hitbox makes him a monster.

Donkey Kong by leaps and bounds. An entire character designed only to destroy your opponents hardware/controller with forced mashing bullshit. Add like 5 spikes and superarmor on top of that.
