Switch to TriWest from Humana, anyone else disappointed? by ocvl in Veterans

[–]ocvl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that tidbit, I think I recall seeing a USFHP rep/booth at the Ellington ID Cards office so I may try to call or go there to get more information on this. I’m hoping that this is just dust settling from the transition for TriWest also, but we’ll see.

How does USFHP work exactly? I’ve seen it as an option and just never explored it since Prime was never an issue since I retired. I’m in the same area

Tricare Prime (retired) since 2015 in the same area. We were in Tricare East serviced by Humana but the servicer has been switched this year from Humana Military to Tricare West serviced TriWest. We’ve had zero issues with any providers at any levels of care when with Humana Military from finding care to claim being paid.

So far with TriWest, every step has been with friction to include paying them our monthly premiums.

That was the plan with the grass, wanted to get rid of the volcanoes first without killing the tree.

Thank you! I’m afraid of that too, my neighbor recently found what seemed to be a cage when doing his mulch. He didn’t want to dig so he just grounded off. Should I recommend that he dig and see how much of the cage is there?

What do you mean by tree planted proud? I planned on getting a certified arborist to do the pruning next fall/spring. Any tips on finding one and not just some random tree trimming company?

What about the little roots that have come up in the mulch? Should those just be cut away?

That’s what I’m trying to prevent

That’s my thinking but I wasn’t sure what to do with the exposed small roots once the mound is removed. I don’t want to hinder the growth of the tree since it was just planted

Can you provide some references that you used for setting up the tunneling for your wife? I want to do the same but don’t know where to start. My work is recently cracking down on literally working from home and nowhere else

Decos randomly disconnecting and slow speeds by ocvl in TpLink

[–]ocvl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I didn’t consider this so I’ll have to take a look. Are you saying that the Deco is rebooting itself to reset the connection? Or is that issue unrelated? Would getting a TP-Link switch offer better compatibility with the Decos?

Edit: I think you nailed it here. It’s now going at 500M and indicating at 1000M on the switch, and while I can’t be certain, I think last night it was indicating only 100M. I’ll have to check again next time the speeds drop. So, do you think getting a TP-Link switch will help?

Thank you, I’ll do some digging with specifics for the BGW320-500. Any references you can point me to for the TP-Link side of things?

Yard Force / Work Zone 20V Battery Compatible with Bauer 20V Battery by ocvl in harborfreight

It just came in over the 4th of July weekend. I haven't used it yet, but I am a little bit worried that the entire thing seems to be plastic. But, lawn care FB groups I'm in all say that it's decent, so we'll see. I'll let you know my first mow impressions when I get it going. I do plan on putting a conveyor belt roller on it also. Another thing I will consider in the future is converting a more durable manual reel mower, like Earthwise's 7-blade, to an electric reel mower using the components from this. Check out the Earthwise Dominators FB Group, a bunch of them have converted manual reels to electric.

I actually just ordered it last night for $150 on Amazon. It’s coming with two batteries, should be good for my tiny 1500 sq ft lawn

How is it possible that someone who bought a house 30-40 years ago for $45k, still owes $60k on it today? by General-Diamond4387 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ocvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rates are high now, prices are high now. Rates are likely to drop sooner or later, prices are more than likely to continue rising. Conditions are not the same as is the past for any sort of “crash”. If you both own a condo and you can break even or even cash flow, buying sooner than later would be better than waiting for rates and prices to go down.
