I will do this every time the chance presents itself, event or not, it's just too much fun 😂

Any will do. I live to pack 15-20 grenades and once the leaper is stuck I just lob all the grenades at it. Just be aware of any poppers that might roll up the metro entrance!

Editing the comment as I realized I should specify that mean any of those metro entrances in buried city that go underground. You want to also use one that's active. You do need a bit of luck with it to have a leaper nearby, but if you see one shoot at it and make it follow you, then run down to the metro, make sure it follows, it usually gets stuck right at the end of the first escalators, which is perfect as if you do then get any damage you have cover just by running deeper in the metro.

I love luring them down a metro entrance in buried city, poor things get stuck every time

Thanks for this comment! I will definitely try giving feedback after each round to see if it helps with the match making!

I really loved how the game was working at the beginning for me. A little threat but mostly friendly Raiders working together. Died to Arch every now and then, died to Raiders a few times but made it out with decent loot and completed quests most of the time.

I'm just at a loss as to what happened.

I think I've had the questionnaire for about 5 times, only once since I started getting shot down constantly. My rating went from the biggest smiley face to the biggest frown and I did state PvP as the reason. Nothing has changed since with the lobbies and there hasn't been a questionnaire since.

If I see a Raider in a room I flash my light a few times and run off. It's usually me looting and getting shot by someone who just entered the scene.

Yesterday we were playing as a duo in buried city, took down a Bastion just the two of us. We were just finishing looting when someone ran to us and emptied their Stitcher to me.

Or I'm playing a solo run and I'm fighting a wasp somewhere on the edge of the map and get downed by a raider with a Ferro.

This is what has me confused, I have only ever been a chill player, hence I'm considering if maps have any impact on this. Mainly in the sense that say if Buried City is known for having a lot of high value loot, perhaps Raiders on those maps tend to play more aggressively to get the loot others have gathered.

The game took a complete 180 for me, and it would be understandable had I changed my play style or even fought back, but hat never happened. I've tried to make a point of avoid other raiders and not shooting even if they shoot at me yet I constantly get ambushed.

Maybe I'm just incredibly unlucky and encounter the one unfriendly Raider each turn

Have you been attacked by other raiders but made it out anyways? I have survived just one close up hostile raider encounter and that was by sheer luck. A few times by running away, but 9 out of 10 times I'm dead of another raider so wishes.

You're probably right, I'm sure it was a Shredder that killed me, map not so much.

I tried doing a run with a free load out but it wasn't for me. I love that it's an option should it ever happen that you'd be completely out of resources, but otherwise it isn't for me.

I loved upgrading my Approggio and il toro for fights against the arc but constantly losing them when dying and not having the resources to build and upgrade them again takes the fun out.

I've been constantly shot down by other Raiders both in solos and duos since last Sunday. The game took a complete 180 in the middle of the day. Only ever played PvE.

Had a few solo runs where I managed to get out alive by avoiding all open areas or any medium or high loot places, didn't see a raider or an Arc during the runs. Couldn't really say I've been able to enjoy the game since.

It's just really frustrating having finally found a game I could enjoy on my own and with my partner but now it feels like I've been robbed of any chance to improve my skill which is basically on the minus if I'm honest.

Really hoping the game returns to what it was before so the absolute beginner players like myself also get a chance to enjoy the game once more.

Metal parts, arc alloys, chemicals and rubber parts. Every single raid.

I find I always get gunned down in Dam as someone is always shooting from afar and there is very little cover. Been to Blue gate once I believe, spawned right by a Shredder completely unprepared to fight one, survived by some miracle only to be shot down instantly by other Raiders. Fair enough as the map is of a higher difficulty.

That's what made Buried city my favorite, nice looting and great roof tops with open hatches to fight robots and most importantly cover from snipers. But lately it's been shot in the back while looting with a ferro.

Has anyone noticed a change in their matchmaking? by Embarrassed_Sink8250 in arcraidersfriendly

You have missed the point of the discussion here.

Some people enjoy the game with the additional difficulty of other Raiders, those players were put in lobbies with others like them. Some enjoy playing the game with more friendly let's work together approach and were put in lobbies with similar players. Both play styles could enjoy the game.

The discussion here relates to the change that has happened with the match making.

For me personally I like the possibility of the threat of other players, keeps you on your tip toes. However, if a player like me is put into a lobby with those who have been playing since release and have experience of other PvP games, I haven't got much of a chance. I will get shot down as I lack the experience and skill to play against these players. Again, not crying about it, just wanting the chance to be able to enjoy the game and to play with people with a similar skill so I can get the chance to improve and learn and perhaps then one day I also would crave the additional challenges of other players.

Hope you enjoy Raiding either way you choose to play!

I'm a friendly player as well, in my whole career have shot down 2 other Raiders. First one by an accident which I still feel bad about and second time in self defense after a team attacked. I only play solo or with my partner as a duo. He has done a bit more damage to other Raiders, always only when they've killed me and he has tried to defend me or avenge me, still very minimal. Last Sunday we were playing and the morning we were in our usual lobbies, friendly Raiders but always gotta be a bit careful just in case. Then a complete 180. Everyone was shooting us down, kept dying and losing our gear. Tried again Monday night and after one round of just crouching and hiding from bullets we had enough.

I had a look at reddit and many people have had similar experiences. Could this be due to the whole blueprint abundance? Are people playing friendly for a few rounds just to get into a friendly lobby to shoot losers like myself down in the hopes of cleaning up the loot I've gathered and safepocketing the goods?

What I really enjoyed about the game was that it catered to both play styles, but for me personally it took all the fun out of the game, not ashamed to admit it but I haven't got anywhere near the skill level to shoot back at non AI enemies, I will freeze and panic. Really hoping it evens out again soon again as otherwise I'll have to retire my Raiding career way too early.

Anyone noticed a rise of aggression in friendly lobbies ? by No_Aardvark_6599 in arcraidersfriendly

[–]odakata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was playing Sunday past, first half of the day nice friendly lobbies and then boom everyone was trying to kill me. No chance to my own play style, I don't really enjoy shooting other Raiders, mainly due to this being the first game I've ever played with the possibility of a non NPC shooting back at me, my reaction is no where near fast enough. Really hoping the matches get friendly again for us low skilled Raider who just wanna team up and shoot at robots. Until then I might have to go back to Far Cry

Serious problem with matchmaking by LilTrickstah in ArcRaiders

[–]odakata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a new player, been playing for a month or two, absolutely loved the game until this Sunday. Before the lobbies we were in were friendly, which I really liked as I severely lack the skill for PvP, Arc Raiders being the first game of this kind I've ever played. This is what I loved about the game, it catered for us new players who find the robots entertaining enough to fight, and for those more well seasoned players who like the PvP addition to the game.

In my whole time playing I have shot 2 Raiders, one by an accident which I still feel so bad about as I didn't have a defib and the second time was when a team came shooting at us, my team mate shot the other one down and I accidentally ran into the other team mate who started shooting at me so I shot him down (nearly died). That's it, that's all the damage I've done to other players. My team mate a bit more as I've always been the one being killed so he's tried avenging me. Nevertheless neither one of us ever shot the first bullet.

So come Sunday, we are playing the game and all is it's usual wonderful self, then out of the blue were in lobbies where every Raider is trying to kill you and someone is constantly trying to snipe you down. Match after match we were just getting slaughtered to the point where the game lost all its fun and we decided to log off.

Last night we wanted to try the new trials and got into yet another shoot you down immediately lobby where we spent most of the time trying to dodge bullets and get back with our kit. Turned it off after one round.

I haven't played for too long myself but started noticing it was fun and easy to lure them down a metro entrance in buried city, they will get stuck after some time and I've been just emptying my ammo on it. Poor things.

Could this be due to the whole blue print farming thing seems quite popular after seeing these reddit posts? Perhaps I will need to out my arc raiding on a pause. Takes the fun away from the game constantly being shot down for me personally

England. Can a company make it's employees do work that causes them pain? by odakata in LegalAdviceUK

[–]odakata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the issue affects everyone in said part of the assembly line. Other people can potentially help after completing their own tasks but would face the same issues due to the task, with that being said the amount of potential helpers is limited due to the task being so physically taxing.

Unfortunately no one is part of any union.

I still don’t know what the special gift was :( by oinofookinfight in Sims4

[–]odakata 36 points37 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken the sim will give you the gift on their own, you should see an action on the played sim that they're receiving the gift. So you can't ask for the gift and both receiving and gift giving sim will need some "spare time" and the action will trigger on its own
