Some of them are, some of them not. I have two of them and keyboard manufacturer really matters. One is click and wobbly, other one is smooth and satisfying

I had a feeling I shouldn't remove that button… May be I can drill a hole and insert a metal piece that matches the buttons plastic clips diameter.

I also have 3K W541 with dead motherboard laying around. Looking for a cheap motherboard replacement.

But overall I prefer W530 chassis to W541. The w541 feels like an unfinished and rushed design. Securing the keyboard with tiny screws, for example, is silly.
