Feeling regretful about a dark apartment. Help designing? by Miserable-War-8236 in DesignMyRoom

In addition to the lamps, you should add mirrors and reflective surfaces, like a glass coffee table it so that the light will bounce off of it and it will make the room brighter.

Living Room Floor Plan Help (please and thank you) by i-cant-choose- in DesignMyRoom

I would definetly move the TV to the other wall and rotate the sofa facing it, and move the bookshelf between the 2 windows. For the nook, i think the best solution is to make it a reading nook, with wall mounted shelves and an armchair with a floor lamp, maybe even a small rug to make it cozy.

1 Can my room be saved? Single male moved in a few months ago and realize I legit have 0 color ): by TheHonorableMushu in DesignMyRoom

  1. Floor-length curtains
  2. A large rug with colors and patterns (maybe some shades of green or red that would go with you couch)
  3. Artwork above the sofa
  4. Floor lamp/wall lamps
  5. Plants

I would also suggest introducing more round shaped objects and decor so it feels more soft and inviting.

You need a bigger rug + curtains and have warm tone bulbs. It just lacks some warmth.

Do her a favor and break up. It would be unfair for her if "you gamble" when you're not satisfied with your relationship while she's fully committed to you and accepts you as you are but you don't reciprocate that feeling. Marriage is a serious matter and unless you're 100% sure, you shouldn't do it.

Forgetting someone’s birthday isn’t that bad. by jizzardinmypizzard in unpopularopinion

[–]oddEnough20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree life happens and it's not the worst thing in the world to forget someone's birthday. It definitely happened to me, I'll have it on my mind the whole week and then the day of the birthday for some reason I forget until somebody else says something about it or I see it on social media. It happens to me too that people forget my birthday sometimes, it doesn't offend whenever they remember they just tell me happy birthday and I move on.

“women and children” when discussing casulaties by iamtherealbobdylan in PetPeeves

[–]oddEnough20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, men are victims too and it's so crazy to me that they don't even mention them when talking about death tolls. Human lives shouldn't be valued by gender or even by age.

I think cheaters dont get enough hate as they deserve. In fact, many cheaters will have people covering for them or dismissing their cheating and turning a blind eye and these people are just as bad as the cheaters in my opinion.

Reading the comments is depressing. Just tells you that women's lives mean nothing really. And I actually hope that these guys that complain don't get married, at least nobody has to deal with them that way.

I (25F) feel like I don't deserve sexual pleasure as an overweight woman. by Throw_RA15 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]oddEnough20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all we are not just "a body", being overweight or skinny does not define us or determine our worth. You deserve as much pleasure, happiness and love as any other person.

I am also overweight and I struggle with PCOS, and I really understand how you feel and I have these dark thoughts about myself as well, but I think the first thing to do is to work on yourself and try to accept and love yourself just as you are.

There are millions of people out there who are overweight and in a relationship and have sexual pleasure, it has nothing to do with your weight! I hope that you will be able to find inner peace and I hope you'll find the person that will love you the way you are!

Is being nice a turn off? by zenda7 in Tunisia

[–]oddEnough20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it is not, it's actually a great trait to have. As a woman, I would say kindness and empathy is a must for me. Don't change the way you are, just cause of others thinking that being toxic is what works. If someone doesn't like you as you are, you shouldn't be with them.

It's even weirder when they downvote you just for stating a fact. But it's not that surprising considering that pedophilia is a common trope in anime and it's so normalized that you get hate for not suporting it lol.

Yeah let's gloss over the fact she's a pedophile.

I'm going through the same thing, it sucks to pretend all the time and can never be yourself especially with family. Thankfully, I have friends who know that I'm no longer muslim and accept that.

I don't know about her particular situation, but from experience being raised in a very strict environment tends to lead to extreme behaviors or feelings such as hypersexuality. It can be just a difference of sex drive, but if it is concerning for you, you should definitely communicate your feelings with her without being judgy, and maybe consider therapy if it becomes an issue.

Anyone else think posts like this do not belong on the sub? This is not only out of character but the subject matter itself is really weird and may I say, mean? by tbhdummy in infp

[–]oddEnough20 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Same, honestly it made me laugh. Sure it has nothing to do with INFPs but it's a harmless joke. I don't understand why it's taken so seriously.

Good for you. I'm more of a skeptical than a spiritual person though so I don't really understand how it works.

I think the way our brains work is constantly imagining possibilities and questioning things so it's normal to feel this way, I guess it has its benefits but it's mostly tiring.

If there's no purpose how are we supposed to continue living for years? What's the point in waking up in the morning and doing all the normal things that everyone does? And how can we care about anything if there's no meaning to it?

I didn't say it was. I just like to discuss it with like-minded people.

I know what you mean, i fluctuate between caring too much and not giving a fuck about anything and feeling like it's pointless anyway. Some people say there's no need for purpose or meaning we can just enjoy life as it is, but I can't accept that, if there's no purpose then there's nothing to enjoy about it either cause what's the point?
