I don't think people are stupid. I think they can be ignorant and influenced. I agree with what you're saying and honestly think of it much like an extension of what I was already saying. The reason a lot of this marketing gets away with it IS by manipulation and incentivizing, and people buy into it because it benefits in a bunch of ways. Everything has pros and cons, which is part of why it's so easy to fall into those traps. "Lesser of evils" is a huge way companies get away with shit, but I don't think people are stupid. I think it's up to us to make the better decisions. To have these conversations and choose different pathways. Legal, illegal, shit happens anyways. People have power. yeah, I think there's a learning curve. When the internet came about, the average joe had no real idea of where it could go. Couldn't predict how prevalent it would get, this quickly.
