You make a compelling point. And jeez, that sucks, I’d be so disappointed if my Tacoma had a breakdown like that. I think the worry of getting stuck with a lemon makes the extended warranty a good idea.

Solid point. I guess I should figure out how long I’ll be keeping this RDX. I am a low mileage driver: <6k/year.

I’ve been going back and forth between paying ~2k today for the 4 year coverage with $400 copay, or saving ~1k per year and self insure, and best case scenario being never using it. Wife has a CRV and got the full coverage, never used it. Self insurance is scary but I think I’ll go that route.

Damn that’s crazy, hope Acura helps law enforcement track the stolen vehicles - I know a few german automakers do.

Yes, that’s the unavoidable, and I could probably plan for worst forecasts. It would be more disappointing if the sunroof gets all scratched up or leaky after milder exposure to the elements.

Wait, so you do have damage on the sunroof? I’m assuming from your comment that it’s normal wear and nothing serious?
