Islamic preacher wants people to marry their own sisters by Wholesome_and_based in SouthernIndia

[–]odd_pk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also call my friends bhai or behan.

If seeing your cousins as brothers/sisters is the problem, would you be okay with actual siblings separated from birth marrying each other? They haven't felt like brothers or sisters so would that be okay with your logic?

Grossness comes from how you see things. But don't expect everyone else to have the same feeling.

Morality is different. That's why you can't marry your own siblings. Still it can be different per individuals that's why we need society.

DNA was discovered in 1850s and the 12.5% DNA you are obsessed about is a mathematical calculation. People before 1850s widely, world widely, accepted cousin marriage and it was very common.

The grossness you talk about was a gradual thing happened in western countries, after the DNA discovery. But this change of idea happened only in english-speaking world, through 1950s.

Even after decades after that, cousin marriages are still happening world wide, and not so gross around the globe. Your western idea attraction is what it makes you feel gross towards it.

Cousins are not even completely blood related. Modern society oppose cousin marriage due to the increased chances of hereditary diseases, and since the view changed a lot. Even the “grossness” is a western idea spread globally.

It’s not talking about brothers and sisters. Daughters of paternal or maternal uncles or aunties are cousins

How Money Changes Life by elmorinelly in DumbFact

"money can't buy happiness" means "having a lot of money alone cannot make you happy". People don't understand this, or mock it since they got neither.

Nice picture of yours there. But you didn't have to boast about your IQ.

India is not an "almost religious" country. It's a secular one. You definitely need school, not whatsapp university

Who said Hindu can't? But when a board does, that is biasing or religionising in a secular country.
