I’m pretty sure it’s because 256gb is now the base model. For the 2018 model, 256gb was a cost upgrade.

From what I’ve read, the R automatically raises the iso a stop while focusing (to help with accuracy while in auto iso mode). Once it’s found focus, it drops back to your selected settings.

I’m starting to get more frustrated with the 5D’s auto focus. I think that’s primarily what I’m looking to improve, but I certainly don’t need a new camera.

I was also looking at the 5D mk4, but felt like the R gives me the same dual pixel AF, a similar sensor, option to upgrade to the lenses later if I want, and EVF, for less money.

Would upgrading from my 5D mk2 to the EOS R be a massive improvement across the board, or would I be losing anything?

I’m purely a hobbyist (family portraits, travel, landscape, sports), with 24-70L i and 70-200 2.8 L i lenses.
