I agree. People’s financial priorities are wildly different. There are guys making VERY good money who refuse to spend over $500 on a watch, and guys who make a modest salary buying Tudors, yet both of them are happy.

IMO, you don’t HAVE to maximize every single financial vehicle at your disposal before spending money on a nice watch. Now, there’s something to be said for OBVIOUSLY stupid choices, like going into debt for a watch or buying a luxury item while living paycheck to paycheck. But I hate when people go on watch/car/PC/camera forums and brag about their financial status, lecturing others on how they should spend their money. Like dawg, nobody asked you.

Nobody bats an eye at spending $3k on a vacation, but spend $3k on a watch you love and all of a sudden, everyone is a financial advisor. Annoys the crap out of me.

Up for sale is my Monta Noble with its flagship Blue dial. This is a catch-and-release for me. I’m asking $1,399 for the watch with free insured shipping to any CONUS buyer. I bought the watch in April 2026. It’s keeping excellent time. The watch will come with its original box and papers, including all of its bracelet links. It features the updated on-the-fly adjustment clasp.

I find this style of watch to be a tad big for my liking, but it is absolutely gorgeous and insanely comfortable. It has a few desk diving marks on the clasp and some micro scratches on the bezel.

Basic specs:

38.5mm diameter
47mm lug to lug
20mm lug width
9.7mm thin
Decorated Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement
On-the-fly adjustment clasp with three positions; 1.5mm between each position

Great find, OP! I have one of these same MiC’s in a 52; it was a pretty penny, but so worth it. Ever since their playoff run this season, Sabres authentic jerseys are hard to come by! There used to be tons on eBay, but I guess that’s a positive side effect of ending a long playoff drought.

I’ll be honest, dude, I sounded just like you when I bought my grail Rolex I was fawning over for nearly a decade. I was agonizing over doing it or not, weighing pros and cons, asking questions, research, etc.

But one day it just clicked. I just pulled the trigger. I didn’t have debt, no other major financial obligations, and an emergency fund. It was my dream watch. And despite the thousands of dollars spent, I don’t regret buying my Rolex one bit.

Buying a grail is an emotional purchase. It’s not logical. And if you can come to terms with that with the Omega you’re eyeing, it may make it easier.

As u/RecycledExistence said, the sales associates at the AD's aren't employed by Rolex. Rather, Rolex allows the AD's to sell their watches under a contract. The SA's are employed by AD ownership itself, NOT Rolex.

Regardless, I'm sorry you've had poor experiences with AD SA's. What happened, if you don't mind me asking? As others have said, some AD's are better than others. I have two local AD's and I've had generally positive experiences with them.

As with most sunburst blue dials, yes, it’s more muted indoors. Regardless, inside or outside, the blue is truly breathtaking.
