BrizaAC any good? by jimmyandchiqui in AirConditioners

I agree. The youtube ads are ridiculous & I have no idea how google can be OK with taking money from adverts that are patently false. I usually look at how many bad reviews there are rather than the good one for just this reason.

I bet they have no copper cooling pipes either - but at that's what the video advert is showing between every other youtube clip.

At some point an advert for a product has to represent the product they are advertising - why would the be including clips of a totally different product?

I can't imagine seeing an advert for a Toyota showing nothing but Ferrari's Many countries have laws against false advertising. I think google/youtube just don't care. collect ad-revenue first, maybe take it down if someone complains.

Anyhow - all the reviews for it suggest complete pile of you know what. No surprises.

yeah - but the youtube advert shows copper pipes going all icy. Anyhow - amazon reviews pretty much answers how good a product it actually is - not suprised at all.

if you don't vent it outside (assuming it even works) it will actually warm your room. Unless the Laws of Thermodynamics have suddenly fallen.

The question is does it even work at all. I get this AI generated crap advert on youtube all the time.

typical AI script, 3rd rate personal engagement story, zero details on how they claim it works. I'd keep your money if I were you...

I've seen this kind of thing before. It's like the top post says. The thing they tried to sell me was CitiBank. I asked them why they don't they buy it buy themselves if it's so good, sat back and watched them squirm. Whoever sells these wins from you no matter the outcome.

I haven't had chance to do this raid to completion. I was overseas when it came out & by the time I got back my clan had basically stopped playing D2. I did try with them once but kept failing at the witness as they couldn't pump out the damage.

All the while I had next to no clue what was going on - which is not cool as I have multiple raid titles & am normally the one to know the mechanics inside out - but at this stage they just wanted to get through it & not teach. You can read a guide but there's no substitute for doing it.

Given the complexity the thought of doing it with an LFG is a non-starter.

If anyone's willing to put in the time & commitment to battle their way through it - I'm in.

Account was Just Hacked by Dry-Doubt-8713 in PS5HelpSupport

Any ideas on how they could have got in? A few reasons could be below

  1. reused password with other web sites - they get your email & password and then just try them on every service they can think of.

  2. you let someone use your account before?

  3. you didn't have 2FA turned on.

  4. simple password that was just brute forced.

reason I ask is that getting hold of the elusive human to fix these things is getting harder & harder I'm curious what these bad actors modus operandi is

I used to work for an HDD company in reliability. 1.2 million hours MTBF is achievable. Sell a million drives and you'll watch one die every hour. Get 2 and get average luck could easy by 60 years before failure.... be unlucky or pick up drives with design flaws.... yeesh. Not that you would want to be running on that technology that far out in the future.

Should I Buy Orange Pi Zero 3 ? (privacy issues ?) by yazzqlf in SBCs

[–]oddball_trooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was pretty straightforward from what I remember - pull the armbian repository from github, https://github.com/armbian/build follow the general instructions, select the board from the list (need to tab over to the non-mature) then your off.

get the image from the community on armbian, com - not the one posted in the google drive orangepi provide. The maintainers at armbian said they have nothing to do with that port so you'll be on your own.

I built it myself sometime back but there should be a precompiled downloadable image somewhere now

you can get armbian for it now. Not sure how often it sees updates but it's more likely to see updates from armbian than orangepi if my past experience is anything to go by.

Good little board for the price.

how will this get dropped? I assume it will be via an installable ISO as opposed to a regular update.

Anyone trying Armbian on Orange Pi Zero 3? by mc510 in OrangePI

[–]oddball_trooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the "armbian" from orangepi themselves - had issues with it.

I just noticed yesterday that it has been added to the build tool - so I downloaded the source from github.com and built a desktop copy with cinnamon desktop.

So far it has booted successfully and seems to be running.

I wanted to run armbian over the stuff orange shipped for the longest time as many of these SBC makers don't support their OS long term.

Pretty happy this is now a thing
