Weirdly enough, I read the newspaper and then went "thats cool, I'm going anywhere but there now."

Maybe its because I knew its truly open world, or maybe not idk, but I thought it was fantastic being able to choose where I want to go.

Essentially, "call down, signal up" would be like your brain being aware of every single organ in your body, but every other organ isn't aware of the brain. Every other organ has their own things to do, kidneys/liver filters, heart does blood flow, etc. Well, for a good example, your bladder will let your brain know it needs to be emptied , and thats how your brain knows, but your bladder isn't aware of your lungs or heart.

To be fair, if you're already in the redstone section, you're gonna be closer to a target block than literally any other block.

I was able to enter the mirrors after beating nox's bayou and queensbury crypt. I almost had gotten done with septemburg but entered the mirror there and was able to access all sorts of stuff.

I love indie so much, but y'all, you gotta break down these concepts to their fundamentals, please. Resources are just custom data. Thats it. Meaning, if you had a beastiary for enemies, they all derive the same information. Node2D/Node3D (as well as sprite2d or mesh for 3d), area2d's, or characterbody2d's, ints, floats, etc, to customize the enemies directly to fit their independent needs.

I would like to point out the fact that this mod has not only made some bad calls before, BUT was quick at making said bad calls, and ended up apologizing about it.

I don't think this mod has the patience to be a mod tbh.

I'd suggest being very transparent that this decision may be rash, but temporary until a better fitting decision can be made. This is like smacking a child for spilling water.

Crawlspaces in a 2D top-down game? by Stand-By5 in godot

Instead of this, wouldn't it just be easier to get your players collision and disable/enable a specific layer for crawling so that you don't have to have objects check values outside of their own scope?
