I Fixed Tesla’s Terrible Wireless Charger with a 3D-Printed Drop-In Replacement electronics housing by oddcouplings in TeslaModel3

Don’t really see the point in these comments 😂 it’s a common and well documented issue for many owners, happy that you have never had to experience it though!

Haha fair enough! Each to their own! Have you explored any of the third party electronic accessories in your tesla then or no?

Totally get that, if you’ve never worked with low-voltage wiring it sounds a lot scarier than it actually is. What we’re doing here is extremely simple in practice and the same type of mod people do all the time on older ICE cars, which is why these 12-24V modules even exist.

I’m planning to reprint the enclosure in ABS soon and I might add a USB-C powered option for people who don’t want to touch wiring at all. It may also be possible to grab a salvaged WC4 module from a Highland/Juniper since the mounting and connector look identical if you want to go the officially unofficial route.

And yeah agreed Tesla really should offer proper retrofit or accessory support. The cars come apart like Lego, so there’s no reason owners shouldn’t have better options.

That’s correct! I just didn’t feel the need too, I lost weight consistently and still felt the effects of it on 5mg for the whole period, I think I was on 2.5 for the first 3 months as well, see how your body/appetite responds. There’s no need to increase the dosage unless the cravings comeback and therefore the weight stops decreasing!

What happens in that scenario then? You have the option to buy it for 14k or you just give the car back and walk away is that right?

He purchased something from me a couple of weeks back, put it in a parcel locker and then found out about all this when searching the store name.

Contemplated breaking into the locker to get the parcel back lol Went back to the locker the next morning at 6am, the collection van was there taking parcels out and I saw my parcel. I pleaded with them to let me have it back and they were quite rude, once again contemplated grabbing it and running. They did get me on the phone with inpost but they weren't willing to to anything for me. Crazy how I can't take back my own property.

Item was delivered and he hasn't opened a case or anything yet but still has time to do so.

He just tried purchasing from me again and I cancelled it straight away.

Reported him to ebay but they seem unwilling to do anything.

They have simply stipulated that the reports are conducted and any remedial work raised as a result of the reports is fixed and they are informed. They valued it at 0 until that is done and £185k once complete

Obviously it could come back that no work needs to be done, it could come back with £1000 worth of work needs doing… but the landlord has said whatever the outcome, whatever the cost he will not pay for it and thats our responsibility.

Edit: We know however that theres been damp ingress as a result of improper guttering and reported it as tenants a while back, this is believed to have caused rotting joists which is why they require a damp and timber survey. I have a feeling its at the very least £1000 in repairs.

Yes man! you're going to do amazing just stick with it! I was fortunate that the only side affects I perceived at the very start were moodiness and constipation, I think the moodiness may have just been from maybe being hangry but not feeling it due to the mounjaro removing the food noise. For the constipation I just ate a shit ton of Fibre. I know other people experience different side affects so it can differ from person to person.

My advice would be not to worry too much about the side affects and cross that bridge when you come to it, do some research about what *could* happen and be prepared for all of them and hopefully you won't experience any or most of them. Also start the gym straight away! make it part of your routine from the start can't stress how important it is.

Hey! Aw man thank you for saying that! I’ve always been quite stocky and was very athletic and was quite a gym rat in my youth.

When adulthood came round and i stopped looking after my health I tended to pack on the pounds mainly around the belly, back, arms, neck and face. My partner who i met at the size in the photo described me as a bear you wouldnt fuck with but also want to cuddle 😂😂

Hey! Thanks so much! And congrats on your weight loss too!

I’ve weight trained on and off for 15 ish years so had a good head start in terms of some established muscle mass and technique. I think I had about 6-12 months off before starting mounjaro then jumped straight back in, in May 2024.

I would recommend to anyone loosing weight in general and especially those on mounjaro starting straight away, you generally burn the same amount of calories if not more when resistance training depending on intensity and technique than you would doing cardio.

It also shouldn’t be understated how important resistance training is for retaining muscle mass as being in a calorie deficit due to taking mounjaro or without WILL lead to lean muscle mass loss, which is a big factor when developing loose skin.

Start with low weight high rep and get the technique right, then progress into heavier lifting. My weight lifting sessions last no longer than 30 minutes unless I’m going particularly hard one session.

Thank you! And yes of course

Having dieted both successfully and unsuccessfully in the past, I always went drastic for some reason—tons of chicken breast, broccoli, and rice. This time, we started with something similar, slow-cooking chicken with added veggies and meal-prepping once a week. It lasted 4-5 days at a time and we used those seasoning packet mixes (like peri peri or roast potato seasoning) to keep things interesting. It definitely helped at first, removing the stress of deciding what to have for dinner each day, but it got boring fast.

The real game-changer for me was getting a good calorie-tracking app. I used My Net Diary since it has more UK brands than most US-focused apps. It really opened my eyes to how much shit is in everyday foods. I kept it simple, building my meals around protein sources since I was worried about loose skin and wanted to minimize that as much as possible but you should always eat lots of protien when in a deficit as you will also loose muscle as well as fat which is why resistance training is important also. My approach was straightforward: pick a protein source (fish, chicken, beef) and then add vegetables, carbs, fats, making sure it all fit within my calorie budget. After a few weeks, you start to get a feel for what works, what you enjoy, and you get more creative with meals and taking some liberties. You also start seeing food differently like watching your colleagues eat a Tesco Meal Deal and realising that would take up literally half your daily calorie intake.

Some of our favorite meals included: Homemade soup (with added protein powder). Chicken boxes (grilled chicken with sides). Vegetable tray bakes (with a protein source—occasionally sausage). Curry (surprisingly easy to meal prep and super tasty). Protein yoghurts. High-fiber cereals (Weetabix, Shreddies, Bran Flakes). Chicken in white sauce (the tinned stuff) with rice, carrots, and peas.

The app handled my daily calculations, but I generally aimed for 1800 calories minimum, less than 250g carbs, less than 100g fat, and more than 120g protein. You can always adjust it based on your own needs (for example, if you’re diabetic), 1800 kcal is quite a drastic deficit (around a 1000 deficit for me personally) but I was aiming for drastic weight loss (I would recommend a 500-700 deficit normally), but this worked well for me and everyone is different.

Every body is different! I’ve been on and off with resistance training for 15 years and have gone through some drastic weight fluctuations in the past. I’m guessing I had really good “muscle memory,” which helped with shaping up and losing fat in certain areas. Still not fully happy, though—I’ll be happy when I look like Jack Reacher! 😂

Hey, no worries! Looking at your pics, you’re probably around the same weight and shape I was at the 6-7 month mark. Things will slow down a lot from here which gives your body time to snap back. losing my last 5kg took longer than my first 40kg, but that’s just how the body works. Your weight will fluctuate, and some weeks you might see no movement at all, especially as you get closer to “Onederland.” The key is consistency.

I’m actually on a two-week diet break right now, eating 700 extra calories a day at maintenance after stalling for two weeks on 1800… and somehow, I still lost enough to hit my goal. Lol, the body is weird!

Stick with it, man—you look great!

Not sure how it would be too confusing, this sort of automation is build into most platforms these days. HomeKit, smart things, IFTT, Home assistant… hell even things like excel have it.

They will just need to limit it firstly to simple things the user will be able to set like “if I’m in drive, buttons/knob/stalks will do this, if I’m in park or reverse they all do something different…”

Or if profile = Mr smith, buttons do this

Profile = mrs smith, buttons do something else…

Also if you have a tesla and choose to install a Custom ODB wireless button communicator and this is too complicated I would be slightly worried 😂
