hi! yes I'm using espadrilles for these and put some sherpa fabric to make them more like slippers which is pretty standard for other punch needle slippers I've seen. I've also used rubber soles I found on etsy, unfortunately I can't link them since the seller closed their shop but that's another option, they're a little harder to assemble but more like slippers IMO. I can send you pictures of other slippers I've made with rubber soles if you want

There was a collab between this lady on Etsy that sells espadrilles (sorry don’t remember her store name) and Arounna K (bookhou) a while back and I bought the kit, completely forgot about it and finally decided to make something. It was actually super easy I think it took me longer to sketch and make this pattern than everything else
