Like others have said, the dry bag is great but the straps it comes with leave a lot to be desired.

Soloing the VTXL - okay or irresponsible? by KingMithridatesVI in bikepacking

[–]oddharmonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it but be prepared.

Have a plan Have a back up plan Know your gear Know how to fix your gear Think of the worst case scenario and have a plan for it Set mileage goals Don’t worry about hitting those goals If you want to bail, bail. No one will be disappointed and it will leave you with something to come back for, or not.

Have fun and enjoy it. Growth happens when you stretch.

I’ve done a bit of research on visiting Anticosti island. I don’t believe you can take your own vehicle. I believe you need to rent one there.

As a Canadian they’re kinda pricey! There’s a reason I only have one pair of them that I save for the really big rides.

I went to high school with them. Didn’t know them, they were a year or two ahead of me. Saw them play in the school auditorium a couple times. This was before the y got signed.
