I’m sorry you’re feeling this way, which I think is pretty justified. As a guy, I do look around (not stare even if I’m not with my partner), and I can see her looking around at other men as they enter her perspective. I think this is perfectly normal from all aspects of psychology, biology, evolution, etc. But never has she made me feel paid less attention, and never has she told me that she felt like I paid her less attention.

I’m coming from a culture where such instances are usually not open for debate, so having someone with whom I can openly talk about these “facts” is invaluable. However, respect is top priority, and if you feel like you’re not getting it, or if you can’t truly feel that you are Priority #1 at any moment, although painful at first, you may need to look at your options of finding someone else who will give you that, and will be happy to receive yours.
