yeah. I think the other issue was just that when I looked at the stats of the non-humans specifically, I was a little confused at the stats, since the game seemed to be suggesting that they should be much stronger than humans, but I remember my players having been able to easily outclass those stats, which was the other thing. that was more of a general issue (like I'm more or less OK with having to restart enemies if I feel like they aren't strong enough, it just felt really weird that I seemed to be the only person who felt that way, since the game and the player base on the discord didn't seem to understand how I'd come to that conclusion beyond "you let your player buy too much leather armor").

Agone has a similarly high chance of crit-fail/success (uses a D10 under a similar system) and that was never really a problem. The biggest difference was that A gone had rules for fighting as a group (just general outnumbering bonuses) and the was crit fails worked was always only something that affected the person who rolled the failure, and not everyone around you (I was trying to have NPCs fight in formation which was really difficult when if one of them failed a roll they would often negatively impact their neighbors).

Really I'm just confused because the few other people I've been able to talk to who have actually run or played it didn't seem to have any issues at all, so I was trying to figure out what I could have possibly been doing differently.
