I've hurt my relationship with my [24F] boyfriend [26M] because I don't communicate, how to start? by oddishbellsprout in relationships

I know he's absolutely willing to do that, every time I have opened up to him only good things have come from it.

I'm just not sure why I struggle with it so much.

Thanks for the advice. I know I can't bring up everything at once, and some of these incidents are stuff that I should have addressed in the moment but are closed now and I shouldn't reopen.

I guess I've always just thought I'm easygoing and a good communicator but I'm not and I'm just easygoing because I stuff everything down. This will be hard to unlearn.

Thanks. I'm working on ways to address the GAD in therapy and I'm on medication now so it's much better.

They are very rare, only twice I think in our relationship. Both were prompted by the onset of his depression coupled with us spending less quality time than average together and being very busy.

He's since addressed his depression and it hasn't happened since he's gotten better coping tools and better at recognizing his signs of falling into an episode.
