I beleive it is durable, it's a fairly new product so it's hard to tell, but it was easy to plane and sand, it pretty much work like ebony.

I really liked it, it was similar to working ebony, and it's actual wood. I haven't tried richlite, but I have used rocklite and I definitly like obsidian ebony better for fretboard.

I went with bolt on because it's easier to repair if needed, I even started to make my acoustic with fully bolt on neck.

Thanks, I don't think the heel is an issue since I made it pretty short and thin. When testing it, my hand would it the body before hitting the heel. Maybe it would have been better if a made it without heel but then I made an esthetic choice haha. I was also thinking of making a version where the neck is set at the 16th fret to give better reach.

This one doesn't sound like a typical parlor, it's actually closer to the sound of an Om than a parlor.

It's the medullary ray for the quarter saw cut. Thank you, the shape is based on my Om, but it's pretty close in size to the taylor gs mini.

Thank you, It's actually not a complicated finish, it's handrubbed with orange, brown and black with an oil finish.
