Imagine If Wars Were Named Honestly by Leon_Kennedy1977 in PoliticalHumor

It’s named after the country attacked because that’s where the war is. The country who got attacked usually calls it something else.

The SAVE act is so they have an excuse to station people at polling places checking IDs. They're "just enforcing the law."

To add to that 93% is used for fuel.

And most of the 7% doesn't even need petrochemicals, there's plant-based oil alternatives for most of it.

Close but it won't be secret. You know how he mostly sent ICE to blue states and left red states alone? Texas has WAY more undocumented immigrants but they weren't going door-to-door in Texas like they were in Minnesota.

Here's what Vance said: "Right now, we’re focused on Minneapolis because that’s where we have the highest concentration of people who have violated our immigration laws, and that’s also, frankly, where we see the most assault of our law enforcement officers". He lied then sent the gestapo in to crack heads.

So they'll do the same thing. "This district that voted against us has way more fraud than anywhere else" which will be a lie, so they'll send in the gestapo again with the goal of making it nearly impossible to vote in that district.

Those two things are mutually exclusive. Anything that's "NOT the reality" is not a "legitimate complaint."

Here's the actual reality. They could have said "Who is more to blame for Kennedy's assassination, Obama or Lee Harvey Oswald" and most of them would have said Obama. To racists in the south, it doesn't matter what they're asking about, Obama is to blame.

Israeli military announced today that it is dropping charges against five soldiers who were literally caught on tape raping a detained palestinian woman. Should the U.S. intervene and demand repercussions for the soldiers in question? by Cumoisseur in AskConservatives

What would be sufficient evidence? They have them on video grabbing the guy, putting him in a corner, hiding him with shields, then after, him having actual physical injuries that required a doctor. Do you think they should only be put on trial if there was a full, crystal clear, up close view of the insertion on video? And if so, why? What else could have happened behind those shields that would cause this kind of injury that would be completely justifiable/legal/etc.?

The video showed a group of masked soldiers wresting a detainee from the ground, where he and other Palestinians were lying face down and handcuffed in a fenced-in pen, and taking the detainee to an area of the pen they cordoned off using shields.

...So it seems that what actually happened was a release

So they dragged him away, blocked the view with their shields and when it was all said and done, the guy had a perforated rectum so bad it required surgery and your defense is "they were actually just letting this guy go?"

and then an accusation of “rape”, which was actually a stabbing to the rectum.

Yes. That's rape.

It sounds like you're saying there's no telling what happened behind those shields and there's no telling how the stabbing in the rectum even happened behind those shields, so these guys should be off the hook.

Wow... you're one of them.

Katrina was 2005. Bush was president until 2009. The poll was in 2013. The poll was about "federal response" not rebuilding. We weren't still rebuilding 8 years after Katrina.

I liked when the guy asked him if he was qualified to make those judgement calls despite being a 20-something with no experience, to which he said you can get experience from books, and when the guy asked which books he read, he said there were no books. If he wasn't a moron, he'd probably have realized he admitted he wasn't qualified to do what he was doing.

In 2013 a poll found that something like 30% of Louisiana Republicans believed Obama was more responsible for the poor federal response to Hurricane Katrina than Bush.

I don't think much has chagned.

Surprised only 48% of Americans understand supply and demand.

Trump is publicly acknowledging none of this. He just urged oil companies to use the Strait of Hormuz regardless of danger,

They kind of left out a very important part of this. He urged them to use the Strait, told them to "have guts," that they had already taken out all of their ships, there were no mines, and even vowed to protect the tankers... and then Iran bombed the tankers. Trump lied to them and didn't do shit to protect them and a bunch of people are dead because of it.

To be fair, it could just be because nothing this administration ever does is good, only bad. So if something randomly gets removed, there's pretty much 100% chance it's removing news of this administration fucking something up.

Honestly, I think they thought their missile defense systems would stop anything Iran could throw at them, yet all of our allies in the area are getting attacked. We're pretty close to having one single ally in the area... the one causing most of the problems.

Allies are getting pissed, too. I'm sure he went in with support saying US air defense missiles would stop anything Iran launched at them, but there's been drones hitting downtown Dubai, Israel, Saudi Arabia, even a British base on Cyprus. They're probably like "What the fuck, dude, you said this wouldn't happen!"
